The Transformative Nature of Change
The nature of change is powerful, transformative. It can feel uncomfortable, uncertain, unstable. Unwanted. The creative market for medical art has been responding to shifting production stacks, innovative tools, and workflows at a rapid pace. The artist’s role has changed in a foundational way. Many of us have expanded our creative offerings and learned new skills. We have reconceptualized our roles to cut across previously siloed job definitions. Designers are vibe coding, producers designing. Illustrators are harnessing the power of AI in their pre-production and conceptual phases. Animators and filmmakers are taking advantage of powerful tools to upscale work and produce more powerful and realistic particle simulations. We are cautiously playing, FOMO stress-learning, racking up new subscription fees. We are here, doing the work. Doing the work of remaining firmly planted and established in the market. Doing the work of marketing, keeping in contact with you, our preferred and trusted client partners. Doing the work of communicating our new skillsets and pitching creative solutions. Doing the work of allowing our work to change, allowing ourselves to change. Looking for new opportunities. I hope you take the time to view and appreciate the work between this edition’s cover, which sets the tone for a powerful story of transformation. As we continue the work of changing together, we look forward to our next conversation. The one in which we come together to solve new problems and create something wonderful. Something authentic and interesting and true. We look forward to a year of authentic connection and conversation, redefining the ways in which we work together and, yes, continue to change.
