Welcome to the 2023

Brian R. Bruckbauer President & CEO

It’s great for ATCA to be back in Atlantic City for this special event. Although this is my first time here since I began my tenure at ATCA, many of you conveyed to me how important this event is for our industry. The technical conversations that take place here are beneficial to all involved and help us to make progress in many key areas. That’s why I’m glad we can once again gather to discuss the latest advancements in technology.

This year’s Symposium is themed “Enabling Technologies and Capabilities for the Future NAS” and is all about how we innovate and implement. We developed a compelling and holistic agenda, tackling the biggest technical challenges and opportunities of the day, including cybersecurity, info-centric NAS, automation evolution strategy, aviation sustainability, and integrated safety management.

Our Tech Center Tuesday at the William J. Hughes Technical Center is always a highlight, and we’re excited to once again to offer our attendees the opportunity to hear directly from the experts who are working daily to advance technology for the FAA and our national airspace users.

As always, we’ve built in plenty of time to explore the Exhibit Hall and connect with colleagues new and old at our Tuesday night Welcome Reception at Landshark, as well as the Reception with Exhibitors on Wednesday evening. We have a number of first-time exhibitors with us and I hope you will take some time to stop by and learn more about these companies, as well as our many returning exhibitors who have new information to share since we last hosted our Technical Symposium four year ago.

I’m also pleased to announce that we will once again have our Technical Paper presentations on Wednesday and will be hosting our Women in Aviation Tech Breakfast on Thursday morning. These events have become a staple component at ATCA events and are very popular. ATCA is proud to facilitate these important conversations.

In closing, I hope you find value in your attendance this week. The connections made and the professional development offered at in-person events like this Symposium are irreplaceable. We hope that you agree, and I’m always eager to get your feedback. Thanks again to all participants, exhibitors, and sponsors.

It’s an exciting time to be in aviation. Let’s get to work!
