Our Mission
The Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR) supports social science research across all campuses at ASU through three main initiatives.

Proposal support
The ISSR provides seed grants of up to $8000 each, with the deliverable being an application for external funding. This initiative is open to any social science researcher at any ASU campus who is eligible to submit external grants.

Student support
The semiannual poster contest is open to all graduate students doing social science research in any field and on any campus at ASU.

Research methods
The ISSR offers hands on social science research methods workshops throughout the academic year to advance skills in the collection and analysis of social science data. These workshops are open to all ASU faculty, staff, students and the general public.
Social science methods online courses, in partnership with the ASU Learning Enterprise, include one completed course on cultural domain analysis and several others in development. issr.asu.edu/methods-online-courses
Strengthen the academic heart of ASU
The College is committed to improving communities on a local, national and global scale. Whether you want to advance research to solve real-world problems or support students in pursuing their dreams, you can help strengthen The College community and beyond.
