The MiMode™ range
MiMode™ PuraBead® resins offer a step-change in purification capability. Designed for use with diverse feedstocks and varying pH or salt conditions, MiMode™ offers exceptional versatility for multiple applications. Available in three chemistries—hydrophobic, anion, and cation mixed-mode binding modes—each resin is engineered for chemical stability and reusability, ensuring consistent performance and cost-effectiveness throughout development. With formats ranging from 96-well plates, RoboColumns®, pre-packed SNAP® and Evolve® columns to bulk resin, MiMode™ enables seamless scalability from rapid screening through to manufacturing-scale processes.

Hydrophobic mixed-mode resins
The MiMode™ PuraBead® hydrophobic range harnesses both hydrophobic and hydrogen-bonding interactions to target proteins and viral particles where other approaches often fail. The hydrophobic family includes MiMode™ PuraBead® HX1, HX2, HL3, and HL4 resins, each tuned to offer slightly different binding profiles, allowing developers to identify the optimal solution for their molecule. For high-throughput evaluation, the MiMode™ PuraBead® Mixed-H 96-well plate provides rapid, efficient screening in a simple, smart, and effective format, compatible with both manual pipetting and automated platforms.

Anion-exchange mixed-mode resin
MiMode™ anion exchange resin combine ionic and hydrophobic interactions to provide strong selectivity for negatively charged biomolecules. These resins excel in applications such as nucleic acid clearance, viral purification, and polishing of therapeutic proteins. The mixed-mode design ensures a balance between binding strength and elution control, even in the presence of complex feed streams or high salt environments. Cation-exchange mixed-mode resins
MiMode™ cation exchange resins are designed for powerful purification of positively charged biomolecules, including monoclonal antibodies, enzymes, and proteins with isoelectric points above neutral. By combining ionic binding with hydrophobic and hydrogen-bonding interaction contributions, these resins provide enhanced flexibility in binding and release, supporting both capture and polishing steps in bioprocess workflows. Their unique selectivity improves impurity removal while maintaining high recovery. With scalable formats, MiMode™ cation exchangers simplify development and enable consistent performance at every stage.

Screening formats
Early-stage process development requires rapid evaluation of multiple resins under parallel conditions. MiMode™ screening formats provide a complete toolkit for resin selection and optimization. The 96-well plate format is pre-packed with MiMode™ resins and available as single-resin or mixed-resin configurations, enabling fast, high-throughput screening with minimal sample use. For automation, RoboColumns® provide consistent miniaturized formats compatible with leading robotic liquid handling platforms. To support scale-up, MiMode™ resins are also available in 1 mL and 5 mL pre-packed SNAP® columns for convenient method development. At process scale, Evolve® process and Evolve®D columns offer GMP-ready, pre-packed solutions with the same reliability and performance.
