The Coronation of Daft Punk !

The French duet Daft Punk honoured France that night. They are the authors of the famous song "Get Lucky", which made us dance all along 2013. Simple notes and lyrics stay in our head all day long. Nicknamed the "robots", the Daft Punk arrived at the ceremony dressed in glamorous black and their helmets. They took time on the red carpet to let the photographers immortalize this special moment. A special moment that they will not forget because not such a long time after the beginning of the ceremony, the two French were rewarded in the Queen category of « Album of the year » for Random Access Memories as well as « Record of the Year » for "Get Lucky".

Daft Punk won all the trophees in all the categories where they were nominated, In fact they went back home with « Best electronic album » and « best featuring » with Pharrell Williams. The sound

engineers were also rewarded , which brought a fifth trophee to the French duo.

Dressed in a royal white to receive the awards Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter still faithful to themselves didn't pronounce any words, letting the care to Pharrell Williams to say their gratitude.

After their awards, the two robots showed what they were able to do and transformed the concert hall in a giant dancefloor, offering an unforgettable performance of "Get Lucky". The Daft Punk were with Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, and all the musicians who worked on the album Random Access Memories. And surprise, a special guest joined the scene to participate in that crazy moment: Stevie Wonder.

In a setting looking like a recording studio, all the band started to play the famous funky notes of the record of the year while Stevie Wonder launched a medley of his popular songs: "Another Star" and "Freak out"in front of an enthusiastic crowd. Many artists like Paul McCartney, Katy Perry, Beyoncé and Jay-Z enjoyed this moment.

category Best Dance recording.

4 March 2009 : Daft Punk wrote the soundtrack of Tron: Legacy. They wrote several titles and released an album on December 6th 2010.

July 2010 : Daft Punk are made Knight of the Order of the Arts and Letters.

19 Avril 2013 : After a change of record company ( Columbia Records ), and a new album, the record « Get Lucky » is unveiled. This record was made in collaboration with Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers.

13 May 2013 : The album « Random Access Memories » is made available by listening on iTunes.

January 2014 : Daft Punk won five Grammy Awards thanks to the album « Random Access Memories ».

Friends of Asterix Park can be happy ! Their favorite mustached hero will be back in the Park from April 12 to November 2014 with lots of new things to charmthem. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, it is not 1 but 5 attractions that await them in the new world ÂŤ Idefix Forest Âť !

25 years of history Opened in April 27, 1989, and opened to the public on April 30, Asterix Park is the culmination of a great story created by Mr Albert Uderzo. Since 1981, he had wanted to recreate the spirit of his Comics in an attraction park. A lot of teamwork brought plenty of good and funny ideas. More than 1.3 million visitors came throughout the first season.

ÂŤ Par Osiris et par Apis! Âť OzIris and the Egyptian theme area were probably the most ambitious project of Asterix Park.

Indeed, from its designing in 1989 until the building of it, the park had never invested so much for one new area.

OzIris: the attraction of a new genre has surprised more than one! Feet in the air at 40 m high, you go forth at 90 km/h, for a breathtaking adventure (required size: 1 m 30).

The Egyptian universe has joined those of Gaul, the Roman Empire, the Vikings, Ancient Greece. From a large square, you have a striking view on the temple of Iris, the wizzard who tries to hypnotize people in "Asterix's Twelve Tasks"(1976).

AFTER THE GROWN-UPS, THE CHILDREN ARE SERVED !

Asterix Park celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. On this occasion, you will find a lot of surprises including the Idefix Forest that will delight the little ones.

Do not miss the opening April 12, 2014 to discover a whole new world in the heart of the park. The 3-10 years will be served this year. A new universe is entirely devoted to them with Idéfix Forest, a 5,000 square meters area. The little dog, known for its ecological character can't stand it when anyone destroys a a tree. Trees are the emblem of this wood on the theme of "Druidism" space.

The five attractions were "invented" by four druids, Aérodynamix, Énigmatix, Lavomatix, Hydrolix and a female druid, Etamine, on the principles of small planes, river, tower ... adapted to the young age. And children can also play to find Idéfix hidden in many places of the forest.

Challenges for children and adults, plenty of adventures, attractions to unique, unrivaled sensations , and great live shows with a touch of humor: These are the ingredients of a potion tested and approved by millions of visitors since 1989!
