CONSUMER GOODS

In this sector-specific programme, businesses across the UK are supported in taking action to mitigate modern slavery within their own operations and global supply chain, with their suppliers, their labour providers, their service providers and beyond. UK CONSTRUCTION SECTOR

Launched in collaboration with industry development partner the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), to address modern slavery in the construction sector. This sector-specific programme continues to grow. In this programme, businesses across the supply chain are supported in taking action to mitigate modern slavery within their own operations, with their sub-contractors and suppliers, their labour providers, their service providers and beyond. SOUTH AFRICA

Delivered in partnership with local partners the Wine and Agricultural Ethical Trade Association (WIETA) and the Sustainability Initiative of South Africa (SIZA), the programme facilitates dialogue between South African agri-businesses, national and international retailers and importers, and other key stakeholders to address forced labour in agri-businesses in South Africa. SPAIN

We are supporting the Spanish horticultural industry to prevent, manage and respond to the risk of forced labour and other forms of hidden labour exploitation. We are working with our Spanish partners to engage with growers and other stakeholders across the Spanish fresh produce supply chain and have produced useful resources for businesses to use, including a practical toolkit and awareness materials for workers, which are free to download on our website. We also offer a training workshop on ‘Tackling Forced Labour in Spanish Agribusinesses’. This information can be found in www.stronger2gether.org/es/.

MEXICO

Stronger Together Mexico is a member of the Periplo Project, led by Fundación Avina, and works to strengthen the labour migration system in the agricultural supply chain in Mexico, and between Mexico and the United States by increasing the implementation of private sector good practices in responsible recruitment and labour management processes. Stronger Together Mexico offers practical tools to businesses that recruit and employ agricultural workers that help them implement and demonstrate leading performance in responsible recruitment. UNITED STATES – RESPONSIBLE RECRUITMENT PROGRAMME

This multi-stakeholder collaborative programme seeks to motivate the US fresh produce sector to recognize and reward responsible recruitment, thereby boosting the supply of ethically sourced labour and reducing risks for workers and businesses across the labour supply chain. MALAWI

Stronger Together Malawi is a capacity building programme designed to support agribusinesses to act responsibly by equipping them with the knowledge, skills and tools they need to know what forced labour is and how to spot its signs.
