ACCESSING WORKERS WORKER SUPPORT
ALP provides free downloadable tools for businesses to support jobseekers and workers to understand their UK employment rights, recognise poor treatment at work and access remedy.
By employing these tools in your recruitment and supply processes, you ensure that your workers have access to clear and accurate information, in a language that they understand, providing consistent support across your workforce irrespective of their employer, language, geography or recruiter.
Use them in your inductions, make links available to workers in handbooks and signpost from your websites and job adverts.
Working in the UK is a short, animated video particularly for use by labour providers and employers to use in inductions for workers in the UK, explaining how to avoid problems, their rights at work, and where and how to report issues, in four sections covering: Before work during recruitment; Getting the correct pay; Staying safe and well at work; Key rights at work. Available in English, Ukrainian, Polish, Bulgarian, Albanian, Gujarati and Romanian.
Just Good Work is a free, interactive app to help all jobseekers and workers understand their UK employment rights, recognise poor treatment at work and access remedy. Just Good Work helps businesses in all sectors throughout their own operations and supply chain to:
n Enable direct and indirect workers to access guidance on good recruitment and employment practices
n Provide relevant and consistent information to workers in a language they can understand
n Reduce the risk of worker exploitation and support Modern Slavery Act due diligence.
The app is freely available to all UK employees, employers and labour providers through the collaboration and support of ALP and its partner organisations.
