GOOD PRACTICE FOR USING LABOUR PROVIDERS

Using a labour provider should provide a time saving, cost effective solution to your business.

GOOD PRACTICE FOR USING LABOUR PROVIDERS

The flexibility of temporary agency working allows labour users to react quickly to additional labour requirements, production variations and seasonal fluctuations. Agency workers can also cover absences such as sickness, holiday and maternity leave and are a valuable source of experienced permanent employees. As a labour user you have statutory responsibilities under the Conduct Regulations, the Gangmasters Licensing Act and the Modern Slavery Act and so you need to be confident that your labour provider is compliant and operating legally and ethically.

Visit the ALP website for a list of labour provider members and browse for relevant support and guidance including the pragmatic, step by step guidance in our ‘Good Practice Checklist for using UK Labour Providers.’

Labour users are welcome to join ALP as Associate members enabling you to access the same news, information, and guidance as your labour providers.
