HISTORY
& OWNERSHIP Diesel Truck Driver Training School was founded when Robert Klabacka started teaching the trades in 1959 making us one of America’s oldest and largest CDL training schools. Robert later passed the reins on to his sons who continue to maintain the same high standards and superior quality people have come to expect from Diesel Truck Driver Training School.

Veteran & Military Benefits GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). More information about education benefits offered by VA is available at the official U.S. government Web site at https://www.benefits.va.gov/gibill. Post 9/11 GI Bill®: Qualified veterans can receive tuition assistance. These benefits may also provide additional living expenses directly to the veteran while in School. Veterans Vocational Rehabilitation: Applicant may be qualified if injured or disabled while in the military. Guard and Reserve Members: Veterans may be eligible for GI Bill®. Members may qualify for state military education benefits. Housing Vouchers for Qualified Veterans: Diesel Driving School offers all eligible veterans a housing voucher which can be redeemed at our dormitory (the school’s housing facility) for the full cost of housing in a double occupancy room for the complete length of the student’s training period. To qualify, the veteran must have been honorably discharged from the military and submit their form DD214 to the school registrar. This voucher has a value of $120 per week multiplied by the number of weeks of training. This voucher can only be used for the School’s housing facility and cannot be redeemed for cash. Diesel Driving School provides the training you need to become a commercial truck driver. Our Career Services personnel have over sixty years of helping people find jobs in the industry: Career Counseling We work with students during training and provide students with a list of potential employers in their local area.
Employer Database All DDS graduates are provided access to our Job Leads Database which contains the name and contact information for thousands of employers. The Career Services Department continually adds new potential employers into this database. DDS graduates have free unlimited access to www.TotalResourcesNetwork.com website. This website allows students to post their resumes which may be viewed by prospective employers, and allows prospective employers to post job openings which are searchable by DDS graduates!

TRUCK DRIVER TRAINING PROGRAMS Our truck driving programs give students behind-the-wheel instruction/practice and a variety of experiences in operating Class-A commercial motor vehicles. The school prepares students for the CDL written tests, and CDL-A skills and road tests. The school schedules arrangements for all testing.

Housing Facilities Are Available 650 Schiller Street Sun Prairie, WI 53590 *Check in from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm the day before class.* The dormitory is located at Hwy 151 (exit 102) and Hwy 19. Proceed east on Hwy 19, turn left at Burger King (Schiller Street). The Water Tower Inn is at the end of the street. The School is located approximately 6 miles North on Hwy 151 at exit 108. The School offers housing at an additional cost with Water Tower Inn. If you need housing, we will reserve a dormitory room to cover your total length of training. The dormitory is easy walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores and shopping centers. The dormitory Inn provides 62 rooms that include cable TV, internet access, air conditioning, microwaves, refrigerators, and laundry facilities.
