Welcome! We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Aspen Music Festival and School. We are excited that you have decided to live in our Student Residential Communities and hope this Residence Life Handbook will be useful to you as you make your way through the summer. By living in Burlingame, Highlands, or Marolt, you are part of a diverse community of musicians. Your peers vary in age, lifestyle and experience but are all highly talented and dedicated to their art. This Handbook offers a comprehensive guide for living as part of the AMFS Student Residential Communities. It details our rules and regulations as well as policies and procedures. Please take the time to review this Handbook as all information applies to you as a resident. The rules, regulations, policies, and procedures are designed to ensure a pleasant, safe, and equitable standard-‐of-‐living for everyone here in Aspen. I would also like to take this opportunity to recommend you get to know your Residence Life Staff (listed on the following page). They will be the eyes and ears of the Student Services Department as well as a support system to all students living in the Student Residential Communities. We have a wonderful staff this summer, who are focused on creating an enjoyable and safe community for you. At any period during your time at Aspen, please feel comfortable stopping by the Office of Student Services with any questions or concerns, or even just to say hello!
