Our hearts are full and our minds are racing at the thought of opening our doors at Asolo Rep and welcoming you all back to experience the joy, laughter, and tears that our new season is sure to generate. Living through this extraordinary time has given us a renewed sense of the value and importance of theatre, and we celebrate the need to get together in our beautiful building. We want to share these wonderful stories brilliantly told by some of the most celebrated artists working in the American Theatre today.

All of us who are swept up by time and subject to inescapable change. As another ordinary day begins, the inhabitants of a small American town go about their business: newspapers are delivered; people go to work; gardens are tended. And a boy and girl fall in love. But as life’s events unfold, one question remains: “Do any human beings ever realize life as they live it?” Long after it won the 1938 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Our Town remains one of the most enduring American plays of all time, reminding us to celebrate love, family, community, and the beauty in the ordinary. Safety is our top priority. We have once again united with local arts & cultural organizations to continue the #SafeArtsSarasota initiative and have put into place enhanced protocols to protect our patrons, artists, and staff. These protocols will evolve throughout the season based on CDC recommendations. For the most current protocols, please visit asolorep.org/safety.
Hearing Loop System
Asolo Repertory Theatre is now equipped with a hearing loop system in both the Mertz and Cook Theatres to assist those with hearing aids or cochlear implants equipped with telecoils (T-Coil). Sound is transmitted directly from our P.A. system without background noise or interference to better serve our patrons. By turning your hearing aid to “T” for reception, and clarity. Seats in the Mertz NOT equipped with the loop include Row A in the orchestra and Row F in the mezzanine. For those patrons who headsets are available in our lobby for both theatres.
Parking
Free parking is available in front of the theatre, however close proximity parking for weekday matinee performances is limited. Please plan to arrive early. Accessible parking is on the front and east sides, with ramp access to the lobby.
Wheelchair Accommodations
Wheelchair seating is available in all theatres and must be requested in

Mertz Theatre orchestra seating is at street level. An elevator is available to the mezzanine, with a few steps into seats. Balcony seating is steep, Theatre, most seats require mobility up or down a small number of stairs.

5555 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, Florida 34243 Asolo Rep is adjacent to The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, just one hour south of Tampa and two hours from Orlando. From I-75, take the University Parkway exit 213 west six miles to the intersection of US 41/Tamiami Trail. Cross through the light and enter The Ringling grounds. Turn right at the parking sign.
Ticket Policies Tickets are non-refundable and can only be exchanged for a different date of the same production. There is a $4 per ticket handling charge for all phone and internet orders. Non-subscription tickets will be charged a $5 fee per ticket for date changes, and require at least 24 hours notice. All productions, dates, times, and pricing are current as of August 19, 2021 and are subject to change.
