hello! Dear Kellie K. Sirna, My name is Adrienne Ofria, and I am a thrid-year student at the university of Arkansas pursuing a bachlor’s degree in Interior Architecture. Through my dedicated work ethic and passion for creativity, I bring innovative, unique, and effective solutions to every project. Art was the way of life in my household growing up. My mother was a pre-school teacher and was always giving her students hands-on activities to advance their creatvity. Her way of teaching and parenting is the inspiration for why I chose to advance in this carreer path; instilling in me the value of imagination, beauity, and function. As I grew older and began to “find myself ” my parents gave me lots of opportunity to express my intrests. These opportunites started out small like moving around furniture in the house and reconfigurating my room in many differnt styles and designes. By the time I was 14 they decided to give me the incredible oportunity of redesigning the upstairs bathroom in our house while working side by side with a local interior designer. I began to understand spacial relationships and the importance of beautiful functionality through hands-on learning. As I grew older, I became fueled by my curious mind and instinct to create. This led me to pursue multiple avenues of artistic expression ultimatly leading me to pursue a career in design. My artistic upbringing combined with creative thinking, spatial awarness, and attentive observation has helped shape me into the designer I am today. I strive to produce captivating, yet functional solutions to transform mundane spaces into memorable experiences. I thouroughly enjoy every part of the projects conceptual phase, as it ingnites my creative energy. The process of deriving a concept, researching, then generating ideas about ways it can translate into space planning and three-dementional experiences is inspiring. The same process is repeated yet becomes entirly unique with each new project. I believe that great design lies within the details. My semi-perfectionist mantality stimulates my attention to detail and conscientious decisions. However, I am not afraid to make bold design moves while finding creative solutions to complex problems and often emplement custom peices that empower the overall space. I aim to enrich the human experience and enhance well-being by bringing positive change to spaces and those who encounter them. Being apart of many different design organizations including ASID, IIDA, and NEWH has furthered my conections and ability to be bale to achieve these goals. Growing up in Dallas, TX I had the oportunity to see many of your companies work and witness the impact your designs had on the Space. Studio 11s ability to compel a space with bold colors and patterns to invoke conversation from the client, users, desiners, and architectes has been an inspiration throughout starting my design career. Project Objective
Transforming a building in Padderborn, Germany into an indapendent living space for ages 55 years and up. The spaces are ADA and Universally designed. My goal when designing the space was to make sure it didn’t feel like typical retirement housing. Instead, the space feels welcoming, warm, and new by using lighting to my advantage. cc

Inspiration For this project, I drew a lot of inspiration from the architect Archibald Quincy Jones by mixing some of his concepts with modern day Bauhaus concepts. One way I achieved this was by mixing softer materials like wood and linen with harder materials like concrete and steel. Then playing with light and shadows to elevate these materials and the space

The restaurant can be found on the third floor with 360 degree windows to enhance dinner with a lovely view. The ceiling structure is made up of gothic style arches that are used throughout the town of Padderborn, Germany (the location of this building), including the origional town catherdral.

The single residece space follows a linear concept floor plan starting with the kitchen, through the bathroom, to the bedroom. Each space includes frosted glass to allow light from the bedroom window to flow through the entire space.

The double residence space also follows a linear concept layout like the single bedroom spaces. Entering into the kitchen and living room, there are seperate doors that then lead into seperate bedroom spaces. Each room has their own access to a jack and jill style bathroom. The custom overhead circle lighting in the kitchen is fully adustable. The color is changable and the lights are dimmable.

The cafe is next to the entrance to make it easy to grab a quick and easy snack or drink as well as meet new residence and or people from the community. The large ceiling elements provide privacy for the second level and create unique shadow elements in the cafe.

There is also a private courtyard in the center of the complex for residence only. This space is for reseidence to feel like there is a designated space for them as well as a place for the resiedence to get to know one another.

About this project For this project we were asked to create a studio space for/inspired by a designer given to us. I was assigned to the furniture and textile designers Ray and Charles Eames.

After the final submission for this project, my professor, Jinoh Park, chose 5 people to 3-D print the studio spaces we designed. I was honored to be one of the 5 chosen. This oportunity was inspiring to see my design in a tangable form.

About this project
Whole Shaded Pineapple Drawing
The brief of this project was to get inspired by a fruit or vegetable in different abstract ways. After creating these drawings and looking at the fruit in a differnt way, I created a multitude of black and white and colored patterns. These patterns were then used to create two abstract structures.
I chose the pineapple because of the different shapes, patterns, and textures it contains.

About this Project This project started with making 3-D shapes by hand using paper, plastic, wood etc... The goal of this was to “perfect” the craft of working with materials. This helped me understand how to meticulously work with materials and build my model making skills. 36 40
