ave you had an unforgettable incident which has happened to you recently? Well, here is one incident, which no one can forget. This is about a very special baby who was born to a couple after waiting for many years. This baby boy was supposed to carry on the family lineage.

He was a ball of joy not only to his parents but also to everyone around him. Whoever heard of the birth of this baby, overjoyed. They distributed sweet packs, because this couple had no child for so long and now they had one. I'm sure, they made a lot of phone calls to the loved ones and friends telling the good news.

So his birthday came, they celebrated it in a big way. They invited a lot of people, as many people as they knew, neighbors, friends and relatives and others. Everyone made sure that they come with gifts for the child.

It was a cold winter evening and it was quite cold outside, they came with overcoats and jackets on. As they enter the house there was a cradle, where they piled all their warm clothes. And everyone started celebrating with music suiting to the ear and a lot of food and cold & hot drinks. Everyone was in a happy mood. The children in the birthday party were dancing and singing around. And they ate till they were E-mail: full. And some said, “ We can never forget this kind of a wonderful birthday party”.

And so before they retire for their homes, some of them wanted to see the child. When at last they enquired of him, they had the most unforgettable shock of their lives, they realized there as they enter, they dumped all their overcoats and jackets on the cradle where the baby was asleep. Sadly he was suffocated and died by now a lifeless child lying there; you could say, how tragic, how careless, how blinded, how ruder, these words can not explain the tragic pain that they experienced that night. But there was no remedy, no restoration, no consolation of any kind left for them to bring back the joy to this couple. How couldn't anyone remember the child before?

Isn't that so terrible thing? Yet we ourselves do that every time we ignore the baby that was born in Bethlehem 2000 years ago. This baby's name was “Emmanuel”, which means- from now on God is with us, he is among the people. The BIBLE says,-Matthew 1:21- “You will call His name “Jesus”, because His name means “Saviour”, the one who will save His people from their sins. As we celebrate Christmas this year, let's remember Jesus, who became flesh and lived among us, who is the way, the truth and the life.

He wants us to celebrate Him not his birthday, not making merry but to worship Him. So let us Worship Him.

ear India Friends! our country India is in a dire state. When we found out few facts & figures on internet we were dumb founded. There are SIX major issues apart from terrorism that we found out are killing the Indians .We believe that the stats will be an eye opener to many Indians.

Therefore we would like to share all those with you all as follows: PROSTITUTION & TRAFFICKING MIndia, along with Thailand and the Philippines, has 1.3 million children in its sex-trade centers.

MThere are approximately 10 million prostitutes in India.

MThere are 300,000-500,000 children in prostitution in India.

MThere are more than 100,000 women in prostitution in Bombay, Asia's largest sex industry center.

MEvery day, about 200 girls and women in India enter prostitution, 80% of them against their will.

MIn Bombay, 95% of the children of prostituted women become prostitutes.

MForeign tourists are frequenting India because of its relaxed laws, abundant child prostitutes.

DIVORCES MDelhi leads the way registering about 9,000 cases every year, a huge increase from the average 1,000 cases that were registered in the 90s.

MKolkata and Chennai have also recorded a rise of 200 % in divorce rates.

MKerala has seen a quantum leap of 350%.

MPunjab and Haryana have seen an increase of 150% in divorce cases.

MURDER A survey by the National Crime Records Bureau for the year 2006 has said that India witnessed 32,719 murders roughly three people killed every hour placing it in the top of the list of countries with the highest number of murders. The rate of murder in India is three per 100,000 people.

CHILD ABUSE MTwo out of every three children were physically abused.

MOut of 69% children physically abused in 13 sample states, 54.68% were boys.

MOver 50% children in all the 13 sample states were being subjected to one or the other form of physical abuse.

MOut of those children physically abused in family situations, 88.6% were physically abused by parents.

M65% of school going children reported facing corporal punishment i.e. two out of three children were victims of corporal punishment.

M53.22% children reported having faced one or more forms of sexual abuse.

M50% abuses are persons known to the child or in a position of trust and responsibility.

MEvery second child reported facing emotional abuse.

MIn 83% of the cases parents were the abusers.

48.4% of girls wished they were boys.

BEGGARY MThere are some 60,000 beggars in Delhi, over 3, 00,000 in Mumbai according to a 2004 Action Aid report; nearly 75000 in Kolkata says the Beggar Research Institute; 56000 in Bangalore according to police records. In Hyderabad one in every 354 people is engaged in begging according to Council of Human Welfare in 2005.

MA study published in the International Journal of Psychological Rehabilitation by Dr Yogesh Thakker reveals that 39% of the 49 beggars surveyed in Gujarat's Baroda district by a group of medicos suffer from one or other psychiatric illness. Nearly 74% of them had a history of addiction, psychiatric illness in the family and poor attitude of family members towards them.

Over 68% admitted to feeling of shame and losing self-esteem, 25% to guilt, 4% to suicidal tendencies and 8% to anti-social activities.

MThere is no proper enumeration of beggars in the country. Moreover the number of women and children is ever increasing. The 1931 census mentioned just 16% women beggars. The figure shot up to 49% in 2001. There are 10 million street children many among who beg for livelihood.

SUICIDES MOf every three cases of suicide reported every 15 minutes in India, one is committed by a youth in the age group of 15 to 29.

MIn the Union Territory of Pondicherry, every month at least 15 youths between the ages of 15 and 25 commit suicide.

MIn 2002, there were 10,982 suicides in Tamil Nadu, 11,300 in Kerala, 10,934 in Karnataka, and 9,433 in Andhra Pradesh.

MIn 2003, the largest number of farmers -- around 175 -- committed suicide in Andhra Pradesh.

MKerala, the country's first fully literate state, has the highest number of suicides. Some 32 people commit suicide in Kerala every day.

MThe average global suicide rate is 14.5 deaths per 100,000 people, with suicide being the 4th leading cause of death in the 15-19 age group.

MA study published in the British medical journal The Lancet indicates that the suicide rate in the 15-19 group living around Vellore in Tamil Nadu, India, was 148 per 100,000 for women, and 58 per 100,000 for men.

MWhat stood out in the data was that not only were the rates extremely high, but that rates for young women were almost three times higher than rates for young men. This is the opposite of global rates, in which men are three times higher than those for women.

MSuicide deaths accounted for between 50 to 75 percent of all deaths in young women in the 1519 age group.

MA study conducted by the department of community health at the Christian Medical College, Vellore, made the alarming finding that suicide accounts for one-half to three-quarters of all deaths in young women and a quarter of deaths in young men in southern India.

Our hearts literally cried out for the people those who are victimized or involved in these things.

As Indians we both decided to do something about all these. At least we can create awareness in the minds of our fellow brothers and sisters. We can also donate some amounts to those who are working with these people. Most importantly we can give good teaching and morale values to our children to become good citizens of India and built a better India as our former president, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam who envisioned a NEW INDIA by Year 2020.
