“JUMBIE CORNER”

Peanut Rebellion

As there are certain times, For the milking of the cow. Said you'd remove us in October, So you can't take us now: You better stick to the harvest plan.

The hoe's in solidarity, Refusing to dig. Imagine oil saying ''I won't go through your rig:'' You better stick to the harvest plan.

Your dog's laughing at you, Knowing time and season. Nothing happens before it's time, So sit back and reason: You better stick to the harvest plan.

A part of Rootical Folklore - celebrating African and Caribbean Folklore through flora – this is from a tale from Nevis, reminding us that nothing happens before its time.
