Theta Active Chapter with Order of the Lioness inductee, CGA Hannah Elliott

At Convention in July, the Delegation elected to induct a new individual into the Order of the Lioness, a rare honor bestowed upon those who have performed substantial service to Alpha Sigma Kappa - Women in Technical Studies. Hannah Elliott has served as Chapter Graduate Advisor (CGA) for the Theta Chapter at Colorado State University since 2018. She is working towards her Master?s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education. As CGA for the Theta Chapter, Hannah is dedicated to providing support and direction to the Chapter president, officers and members.

She has gone above and beyond in every way,

stated Theta President, Gillian Fahey. "What I thought the role of president was and the actual responsibilities I found myself dealing with were completely different. She helped me navigate through those times and define my leadership and communication style." Hannah helped all Sisters with communication and Chapter health as well as providing a link between the Chapter and the rest of the Colorado State Greek community. As Fahey noted,

She has become an adopted Sister to all of us through constant support and friendship to help us in both our academic and professional goals.

On November 11, 2019, the Theta Chapter presented Ms. Elliott with the honor. "The Theta Chapter is such an inspiring and dedicated group of women to work with and I feel honored to have been inducted into the Order of the Lioness," she noted.

Working with them as a woman outside of technical studies has shown me the dedication, solidarity, and empowerment that comes with being a woman in STEM.
