I went to Spain, France, and Morroco in High school with my Spanish class and my absolute favorite part of the trip was going to Barecola. I fell completely in love with all of Guadi’s work and the fresh calamari!

I had a travel adventurre in England where I got to explore a town in Sussex and I found a 600 year old house, a house older than the United States.

I took a class, over spring break where we learned about women in STEM around the world. In 10 days, we toured London and everything we could find that existed thanks to a woman in science!

I overcame my childhood fear of rollercoasters when I went to Hershey Park with our old Chapter President Courtney and our current Chapter President Marie.

Almost every summer my family takes a vacation to Pagosa Springs, Colorado. It’s an amazing place to relax, and learning about the natural hot springs in the area is fascinating!

This summer I got to visit one of the 7 wonders of the world: Chichen Itza. I thought it was super cool to see all the engineering, math, and science done in those civilizations before most western cultures had an inkling.

In 2015, I had the opportunity to travel to Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia. My favorite memory is the first day we arrived in Fiji and visited a nature reserve. I was so happy to hold an iguana for the first time, it really shows in my face!

This summer I travelled with Jayhawk Health Initiative to volunteer with a medical clinic 5 hours east of Panamá City in the mountains. The clinic was entirely run by students and volunteer medical professionals who were committed to the sustainable and holistic empowerment of communities.

I got to witness a person in a faraday cage at the science and technology museum in Munich. It was fun to learn about electromagnetic fields when I was traveling!

I’ve always gone to Boston every summer since high school, but have met new, different people each time. This summer, I’ve met some of the greatest mentors and role models who gave me guidance in pursuing a different path.

I went to NYC this summer with two of my AΣΚ sisters, and we went to Ellis Island to learn about immigration stories. It was meaningful since my great, great grandmother went through Ellis Island from Ireland.

One of my favorite memories is traveling to Seattle, Washington with my sorority sister Megan to visit some friends. I loved exploring Pike Place Market, and I tried oysters for the first time!
