HOME WATERS OF SACRAMENTO STATE ROWING SACRAMENTO STATE WOMEN’S ROWING
Women’s Rowing is a varsity intercollegiate sport at Sacramento State. All Sacramento State female students who are enrolled in 12 or more units are invited to join the team. Prior experience is not necessary; most women rowers learn how to row in college. Scholarships are available. The team practices and competes in both the fall and spring semesters. Come join the women’s rowing team. This ultimate team sport could change your entire college experience. We recommend to all incoming freshmen to apply to the NCAA clearing house as their first step to becoming a student-athlete. Feel free to contact us through our website at www.hornetsports.com and send us your profile. For more information contact: Head Coach, Mike Connors: connors@csus.edu • (916) 278-4265 www.hornetsports.com MEETING TIMES: VARSITY SQUAD Monday - Thursday • 6:00-8:00 a.m. Friday – 2:00-3:45 p.m • Saturday - 7-10 a.m. First day of school is first novice practice.
The Sacramento State Men’s Rowing team offers highly motivated student athletes a chance to compete in one of the highest levels of collegiate competition, the American Collegiate Rowing Association National Championships. With a long, storied tradition of excellence, the Sac State Men’s Rowing team has won numerous regional titles in rowing’s premiere event, the Varsity 8. The team has also won several other Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association titles over its’ 30 plus year history, and has a deep and committed Alumni base of several hundred former rowers and coxswains to support current and future oarsman. While winning is a core goal, the program also prides itself on being a transformational, lifelong skills builder where academic success is emphasized and student athletes establish and cement bonds with fellow crewmates for life. The team is a proud member of our outstanding Club Sports Department and trains at the Sacramento State Aquatic Center, one of the finest rowing facilities in the US. No experience is necessary to join, only a passion to be academically successful and to learn to row and train “as one”. For more information contact the team at: www.sacstaterowing.com or email the head coach: coach@sacstaterowing.com Practice times: Monday - Friday • 6:00 a.m.-8:30 a.m. An activity fee will apply.
