Task 1: Void x Cybersecurity Comic Strip
My comic strip shows a woman posting a picture of her coffee date on social media. Then you see a close up of what she posted where you see that her card was in the picture. The next two panels show someone taking her picture and using her banking information to gain access to her bank account. My interpretation of the theme “Void” was that the internet is a void of information. Once you put anything on the internet it cannot be deleted and so anyone who has the knowhow can find your information and utilize it. I represented it with the black space around the uploaded picture.

Task 2: Mirror x Magazine Ad
When I saw that the task required repetition I didn't even think twice about assigning the theme “Morror” to it. It was a no brainer really but when I saw this ad everything clicked like that. The ad shows a woman standing with the sky in the background and everything looks identical at first glance. However if you take a closer look you can see some minor differences that make the reflection look just a bit off. You can see both magazine pages here along with my redesign. Task 3: Moonlight x School Business Card
I thought of a club that was centered around moonlight, astronomy. This is a club where moonlight is necessary to participate because it’s about looking at the stars and the planets and all of the other phenomena that are found in the sky.

Task 4: Stitches x Character Design Frankie Sein: Monster High She has a sickly green pallor which clues the audience in to her origin. Green is usually associated with poison and the cold color is opposite to the healthy red undertone of an alive human. The sharp edges in her design draw reference to the fact that she had lightning/light related powers. Her makeup is pink(light red), bold and draws the attention of the audience to her eyes because of the contrast with her skin. Her hair being black and white may influence her audience to think about her being way older than how she looks.
When I thought of combining “stitches” with a character I sat and thought for a while before I thought of Frankie. But I think that her being a take on Frankenstein's monster was perfect because the original was literally made of different dead human bodies stitched together.

Task 5: Whisper x Fashion The colour theories used in my design were colour temperature and colour schemes. I used cool colours which follow an analogous colour scheme and focused on blues and purples. When I thought of “whisper" the first thing that came to my mind was an ethereal design. So, I looked for inspiration on pinterest but unfortunately it didn’t provide an abundance of inspiration. You can see my collage here. I tried my best to encapsulate the concept from the mood board.

Task 6: Decay x Photograph
I chose to capture a breadfruit that had fallen from the tree, burst and was taken by bacteria, fungi and insects. I felt like it encapsulated the theme of Decay in a holistic way.

Task 7: Crown x Caribbean Emblem
The crown emblem shows our royal culture. In my collage I showcased various dress that emulated their culture and their various forms of headdress. I liked the thought of the diverse headdress and so I thought of a crown for the emblem.
