Year after year, we bring twelfth month of hard work and dedication onto a dais for all of our sponsors, friends and family. This year, with the onset of our 13th season we rolled out our 12th Combustion and our 4th Hybrid prototype with a conscious display of glamour and passion.
The launch is not just a mere unveiling for us. It is a platform where we express ourselves and show the world what we truly believe in. We started off with this small journey, within our bigger picture, with a deep insight into the timeline of the race-season brushing on the team camaraderie. Starting from industrial visits, corporate meetings and technical seminars to all the way where we shared our knowledge and enthusiasm with students from other universities in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, we had everything set for us to step into the competitive arena of Formula Student. Along the way, as much as we learned about the latest technology, and gained a plethora of skills and hands on experience, we also learned the gentle art of give and take and the importance of meeting someone halfway. We saw ourselves cutting to the chase, bending over backwards, and shooting from the hip in our workings with others and ourselves. And when faced with opposition, we were determined to go down swinging, together, even when others said it was a long shot. With the encouraging words from our college principal we moved on to the technical presentation. Ashwa Racing believes in evolution more than revolution. We trust that with 5% change every year we can saturate our design potential and contribute to the engineering a lot more. Thus the presentation covered the intricacies and improvements made in the latest prototypes in addition to our approach towards the static events of the competitions that we participate in.

"To work hard and have our supporters behind us and believing until the end, you run a little bit more". We at Ashwa Racing know that without our supporters we would not have reached where we stand today. We expressed our sincere gratitude to all our sponsors by presenting them a memento as a small token of appreciation. We thanked everyone immensely for having been a part of the event and thus adding value to our passion. Their presence was humbling and it sure adds warmth to our often walk down the memory lane. It's only due to such belief, faith and encouragement that we keep the strength to pursue our goals and go further ahead to achieve them.
With this heart warming ceremony we moved outdoors, at last, to remove the covers on our beasts and roar them to life. While the Hybrid raced with poise and grace, the Combustion roared with passion and hunger. The race-car zoomed down the stretch and the made donuts at the very end adding to the exoticism. And thus the launch had served it's purpose.

We would like to thank Mr. Gautam Maini and his sons, Arjun Maini and Kush Maini for taking out time and interacting with the team! Gautam Maini, Managing Director of the Maini precision, has himself raced in the National Racing Championship in the late 1990s. His Karting team, BPC RACING has totally changed the outlook of motorsports in India. Arjun races for the Jenzer motorsport in GP-3 series and Kush is a leading Formula 4 racing driver, being the youngest in the category! It was an honour for us to have Arjun drive the RZX7-C and give his valuable feedback. We thank you for sharing your experiences with us and look forward to your continued guidance. He's the youngest driver to break into the Top 10 standings in GP3 history! He comes from a family who have the love of speed running in their blood. His brother and himself are all set to drive for Jenzer Motorsport in this race season. He is none other than, the most talented and the most promising Formula driver of Indian Motorsport, Arjun Maini. Gautam sir and the entire Maini family have always been encouraging and strengthening motorsport culture in our country. Our team was fortunate to meet them and to be offered driver simulator training in their facility. We would like to extend our gratitude and wish both Arjun and Kush the very best for their upcoming GP3 series. Eagerly waiting to cheer the Maini brothers in Formula one soon.

ALUMNI FOCUS
Ankur Revankar, the chief Engineer of our very famous RZX2, is our alumni of the month. We take this opportunity to thank him for his continued guidance to the team. Ankur's guidance has helped the team in making decisions throughout the race season. He has been available to sort every query which was hampering the car building process. Even if the help meant spending sleepless nights in the workshop with the junior batch, Ankur has always been the lead senior in doing so .He has helped the team, making them thorough with the technical scrutiny and has guided the team at every challenge the team faced, both in the workshop as well as the event. Ankur was one of the lead scrutineer at the Formula Bharat 2017. His experience in the Formula Student arena which includes his participation as a core team member in the 2012 FSAE ITALY, as well as his involvement in the national event since 2015 has been helping the team improvise on its past mistakes. He is currently working at Volvo Trucks as a Verification Engineer and takes out time to come to the workshop and interact with the team. Had it not been his guidance at various instances at the event, the team would have had to face numerous hardships and we whole heartedly thank Ankur for always being a strong Pillar of support and for guiding the team at all times.
