After a brilliant start to 2025, Saturday’s defeat to Route One Rovers was a tough one to take. We had our chances but just couldn’t put them away, and their keeper pulled off some big saves. It wasn’t quite the passionate performance we’ve seen so far this year, and in the end, the result was a fair reflection of the game.
Now, all focus turns to Steeton at home this Saturday. With the season winding down, we’re aiming to finish as high as possible, and that means starting fresh every game. They proved they’re no pushovers when they held us to a draw earlier in the season and even took a win off Euxton. We know they’ll be up for it, so we have to be too.
Playing at home gives us an edge, and with your support, we can bounce back the right way. Let’s give it everything until the very end!

Town fans,
With the brighter weather rolling in, we always see a boost in our attendances and I can’t tell you how much that means to the club. Every ticket, every pint, every bit of support helps us push forward, and we’re always working on ways to improve and take the club to the next level. Your backing is what makes this club special, and we’re incredibly grateful for it.
This season has had its ups and downs, but 2025 has mostly been a run of real positives. Saturday’s defeat was our first of the year, and while it’s never easy to take, I believe it was just a blip in what has been a long and demanding season. The lads have put in a shift week after week, and I’ve no doubt we’ll bounce back stronger.
With just a few games left, every match is massive in shaping our final league position. We want to finish strong, make a statement, and put ourselves in the best possible position heading into next season because the goal is always to improve in every area of the club.
So here’s to the sunshine, here’s to the hard work, and here’s to Ashton Town fighting until the very end.
Up the Town!
