Worship Attention Trinity Youth: Be a Christmas Chorister! December is almost here - and so are Christmas Pageant rehearsals! In addition to preparing a part in the Christmas pageant by rehearsing 4:30-5:15 in the Sanctuary, all youth grades 2-5 are invited to join the St. Cecilia Choir rehearsals in the choir room from 4:00-4:25 just for Christmas Eve. Blue Christmas: Although Christmas is a time of celebration for most of us, for some of us it can be a sad reminder of what has been lost – whether it is a loved one, a job, or good health. On Tuesday December 8th at 12pm, Trinity will hold a Blue Christmas Service including readings, music, candle lighting, and silence in the Main Sanctuary for those who may not be feeling the joy of the season.
Music Lending Library: The Choir room now has a collection of over 250 CDs of Classical, Jazz and World music CDs. If you are interested in borrowing a CD to play at home or in your car, please come to the Choir room and sign something out. Parents: Widely varied music played in your home is great for the development of your kids of any age!
Formation Christmas Poinsettias: Each year, Trinity is decorated beautifully for Nativity and the season which follows. Please consider making a contribution to decorate the church. Remember, when you turn in your monetary donation, please include the names of

15 Attention: Parents of Youth! We have a youth candidate coming this weekend and want all of our youth to have the opportunity to meet him TODAY! Brent will be teaching during the Discipleship on Sunday morning (10:25-10:55) in the Youth space downstairs. We will all be gathering for dinner at 5pm in Gravely Hall, after which Brent will be leading the youth group from 5:307pm. We ask that all students and their families continue to pray for the process and attend these events today as you are able.
Advent Wreath Making Event: We will have our annual Advent Wreath Making in Gravely Hall on Sunday, November 29 th following both the 9 and 11am services! We will provide all the materials for instruction to make a wreath for your homes as well as Advent devotionals for families and/or adults. We will also have hot cocoa and cookies. Member Care ‘Fellowship Time’: As we are beginning to move through Winter and looking into the Spring season, we have set aside several dates in-between the 9 and 11am services for fellowship time. The Member Care commission will be holding these fellowship times on February 14th, 2016 and March 20th, 2016 between the 9am and 11am services, which will be accompanied by scrumptious snacks from Dunkin Donuts. During the fellowship time on March 20 th, the Member Care commission will also provide home-made Hot Cross Buns! On these dates, there will be no adult discipleship. In addition to this, there will be a Town Hall Meeting on April 24th, 2016 (no adult discipleship on this day as well).
Youth Update: Your Youth Commission is working very hard on the search for the next youth minister at Trinity. We recently did a complete re-launch in order to find some more candidates for the position. We have published our job description on our web site, the Diocesan website, the Anglican Church in North America’s website, and on several youth ministry job boards. In addition to that, we have placed our description on the job boards of most of the Christian Colleges in this state, as well as many prominent national seminaries. Resumes have begun to come in and the team is sifting through them as they arrive in order to identify candidates that we would want to move deeper into our process. Candidates for visits are emerging and we will be having them in town shortly. The main thing we ask of you as our church family is that you would join us in praying for these visits and for the remainder of this search process! We need our work covered in prayer.
Youth & Family Christmas Party: This year’s Youth Christmas Party will be on Sunday, December 13th from 5-7pm at the Brook’s home – 100 Club Drive. Families please sign up on the poster located on the wall behind the Welcome Desk in the hallway and note what food or drink you will bring. Students are to bring a ‘White Elephant’ gift for the gift* exchange. Bring canned goods for the MBHS Food Bank. Holiday attire is encouraged! (*Not to exceed $5.00. HER Women’s Retreat: Mark your calendar for Saturday, February 13th from 10am-4pm! The retreat will take place at Christ Church in Murrells Inlet. Community Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign – Sign up as a Bell Ringer! It is that time again for Salvation Army’s annual Red Kettle Drive. This drive uses the funds collected to provide for the needs of many Horry County families at Christmas as well as throughout the year (i.e. – emergency disaster, flood assistance, food pantry, etc.). We are hoping that you will partner with us in some capacity between now and December 24th, 2015. Partnership opportunities include: (1) praying for every person/family who has and who will receive assistance from the Salvation Army this Christmas, (2) Volunteer as a bell ringer, and (3) Provide support for others this season. Community Kitchen Needs Your Help! This organization serves others in need through providing meals for those who are less fortunate. Please give your time to help someone that truly needs it. Trinity’s time to serve is December 7th through December 11th. Please contact Jane Simpson for more information on how to get involved at janejims@hotmail.com.
Mobile Meals: This selfless organization provides a balanced meal five days a week to those in our area who are not able to provide for themselves. Weekly Announcements Christmas and Easter Visitations: In addition to the on-going care they currently receive, the clergy will be visiting our homebound during Christmas and Easter. If you know of someone who would like a visit that can’t regularly attend services, please let Tracy Winters (448-8426) know and she will forward the information to the clergy, as schedules are being compiled now. Organ Tours: Attention visitors: if you would like a closer look at the 1876 Johnson/Farmer Choir pipe organ in the choir loft or the 2013 Hood Memorial Portative Organ by the front of the church, please see Ashley Sosis after the 11am service for a tour or even a chance to play them! 2015 Chancel and Chapel Flower Open Dates: There are many open dates for both the Chancel and the Chapel flowers in 2015. If you are interested, please contact Caroline McKee at 449-3629. Please take a moment to look at the flower chart bulletin board to see what dates are currently available. PLEASE DO NOT add to or delete anything from the chart. All changes should be called in to Caroline McKee. Thank you for supporting this ministry. Pastoral Care at Trinity: It is of greatest importance that you contact the church if you are ill or in the hospital. "In case of illness, the Minister of the Congregation is to be notified." Book of Common Prayer (BCP) p. 453. Current privacy laws do not allow the hospital to contact the clergy or to release names of patients. The only way that the church will know of your hospitalization is if you, a friend, or family member call the Parish Office to alert us. Also please notify us if a family member or a friend is in need of prayer or a pastoral call. Thank you for helping us help you. Please Wear Your Name Tag!: Trinity is blessed by having beautiful name tags that have been cross-stitched and laminated for long life. Indeed, they will last a very long time if they just sit in the rack, never being handled or clipped onto clothing! New members find it very helpful to put names with faces, and visitors welcome such an effort on our behalf. As Trinity attracts more new families and individuals, it is most important that all parishioners wear their nametags each Sunday.
