That’s what we strive for at B&B Angus Cattle.
The cattle market is full of calves that grade out select or choice, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But we are looking for that prime grade, and its in short supply. Prime, every time, is what we strive for... it’s in our DNA. But it’s also about helping our fellow cattlemen get the most out of their herd, and we feel we can have a strong influence in doing that. Our calf buyback program will be the force behind that along with our herd genetics setting precedence (SEE PAGE 10). We have a market for the top choice and prime carcasses, problem is we can’t produce enough of them to keep up with demand. We validate our products in our stores and restaurants everyday and want to help our neighbors benefit from that as well.

A LETTER FROM B&B
To our friends and families of the cattle industry,
I’d like to start out by welcoming everyone, and showing my appreciation for your interest in the cattle that we are offering this year. It’s been a wild ride since 2023 and it’s not over yet as we embark on many life changing opportunities that have been placed in our path. All of us here at B&B Angus Cattle would like to invite all of you on this journey with us and see what the GOOD LORD has guided us to.
I’d like to start this journey here at our ranch. Coming off a brutal summer in 2023 where we were hit with one of the worst summers I can remember, not just in our area, but across the whole state of Texas. The drought, high temperatures, and overall lack of feed for our stock caused many producers to make a difficult decision. For many cattlemen in our area, that decision was to sell off their cattle just because they couldn’t afford to supplement cattle starting in June waiting to see if climate would change. For others it was daily planning and task to keep their operation running. But, all of that shifted in early fall when we got the much-needed rain that we had been praying for. To follow was one of the mildest winters which provided us with early green up and from there we didn’t look back. The cattle are healthy, easy caring for, and I think you will see evidence of that in this sale offering. All cattle in this offering are AI bred to an array of different AI sires that we feel best suit each individual cow to push their progeny forward in the breed.
Moving along to the next part of this journey… B&B Angus is now selling our own beef! Just as many of you in the business have done, we too are embracing what our cattle give us, and that is excellent quality meat. It’s been exciting learning a different side of the industry and we’re always looking to see what new bit of information we can learn, to not only benefit us as producers, but also benefit our customers. The better product that we can produce means the consumer will feel just as good about buying it. We strive for excellence in anything we do, and customer service is never overlooked in that effort. We want to be able to tell our customers what makes our product great. We also want to educate them in any aspect of what it takes to get that amazing steak. That is where you begin to build relationships, and to us, that’s one of the most valuable things to have.
Moving along in our journey… We announce that B&B Angus Cattle will be growing into B&B Steakhouse and Meat Market! That’s right, we are taking this concept even further. This shows our dedication to what these angus genetics produce. We want to display these things in every way possible. This will serve as a walk-in store for people to purchase our product, which is great quality meat at affordable prices from B&B Angus Cattle, while at the same time a sit-down restaurant where you can enjoy a gourmet meal. Our local town/small city has been in need of something of this caliber for a good while. And after several discussions we started to move in that direction. The way things started to fall into place as smoothly as they did, we truly believe we made a good decision here. We want to use this platform as a way of giving back to our community. And we truly believe we can achieve that goal in more ways than one, especially as we continue to grow. We are currently in the midst of construction, but plan on opening this fall. So if you’re in the area of Kaufman, Tx, be on the lookout for B&B Steakhouse and Meat Market. Come on in and say hi, we’d be glad to have you.
As you can see, there are many opportunities in front of us here at B&B Angus Cattle and we are still in awe of them all. I always tell myself that GOD doesn’t put things in your path that you can’t handle. It isn’t always something you can do alone and that’s ok. I say this, it takes a tribe to be able to move up and expand in such a quick amount of time. And I got to say that I have the best tribe of them all. The whole family has stepped up to help/support in anyway they possibly can to make this dream come true and be successful, and I can’t say enough how much I love and appreciate each and every one of them.

CALF BUY BACK PROGRAM
In the welcome letter, we mentioned our up-and-coming programs with the restaurant and meat market. Our calf buyback program comes into play with what we see in the future. And we would love for all of you to be able to participate in this program.
Although there aren’t any bulls offered in this sale, we do sell bulls currently via private treaty. We have studied our surrounding areas to see in what way our genetics could benefit other cattle producers locally and beyond. The one trait that stood out to us, and I’m sure all of you can relate, is that marbling is the key to maximizing herd value. The better the carcass value of the animal the more profit you can retain from that animal. So, we have started to put significant thought into our genetics and how to maximize them. Our goal is to find that sweet spot in the carcass traits with ribeye, marbling, and carcass weight values. Our bulls and females are bred to push these traits into the cattle that are lacking them and to get the most from the carcass as possible. By saying all of that, we have not forgotten that these cattle need to survive in harsh climates during summer in our area while still working for the producer. We sold our first group of bulls this past spring that had this focus on them and the feedback we have gotten has all been positive. They are performing on pasture just as we had hoped and the heat hasn’t slowed them down it seems.
Here’s how to participate in our calf buyback program. All you have to do is use our genetics either by purchasing a bull to run on your females, or purchasing our females and putting them with an Angus bull. When the calves start coming and you are ready to wean, give us a call and we will be more than happy to come out and take a look at them. We are willing to pay a premium for these calves because we are confident that they are going to grade out really well. This also saves you, the producer, time and money by not having to just haul them to the local sale barn. You skip out on paying the commission, and you know exactly what you are getting for your calves. It’s a win-win for both of us because not only are you getting the price that your calves are worth, but it
