Behind the Design
To deliver a glamorous bath within a small footprint, interior designer Ashley DeLapp had to get creative. She ditched the previous space’s tub, opened up the shower, and created a custom vanity cabinet to give the homeowner a place to get ready without taking up too much space. To ensure the floor wasn’t an afterthought, a black-and-white pattern provides interesting contrast without stealing the spotlight from the chartreuse vanity and floral Schumacher wallpaper. “The easiest way to incorporate color in your bathroom is to paint your vanity or add a colorful wallpaper,” DeLapp says. “It’s less of a commitment than colored tile and really gives you endless ways to showcase your unique style.”
