hen members of the 2016 Class of Atlee High School accept their diplomas, Prakrit Shukla will take the stage as valedictorian with a grade point average of 4.71233. He is the son of Sameer and Vandana Shukla of Mechanicsville.

More than 30,000 attend Ashland Strawberry Faire By Patrick Gordon News Editor ASHLAND — More than 30,000 visitors attended the Ashland Strawberry Faire, which was held Saturday, June 4 on the campus of RandolphMacon College. While that was certainly great news for vendors, Strawberry Faire president
Dani Petitt said some guests who showed up later in the day may have missed out on the Faire’s namesake. “The Ashland Berry Farm brought thousands more strawberries this year, and they were still sold out by 1 or 2 [p.m.],” Petitt said.
