County is race ready
R-MC sets enrollment record; 413 freshmen arrive
By Jim Ridolphi for The Hanover Local HANOVER — With less than a month remaining before riders from across the globe descend on the Richmond area for the 2015 UCI World Cycling Championships, Hanover County is ready. The elite men’s time trials are scheduled to traverse the county on Wednesday, Sept. 23, and deputy county administrator Wayne Harksen told the Hanover County Board of Supervisors that the county has taken numerous measures to ensure the public is aware of some of the inconveniences that may accompany the race. “We’ve done everything we can think of to make sure the public is aware of road closings that will affect their residences,” Harksen said last Wednesday. “There will be some road closures in Hanover and we wanted to make sure we got that word out to our residents.”
