There are two sites in particular that are doing a good job of providing property information to the kiwi public. Trade Me Property Insights and Homes.co.nz. Trade Me is a trusted brand in NZ and to most real estate agents, listing properties on this site is a fundamental part of any marketing package to ensure the greatest reach. Recently Trade Me added a new function to their property website called Property Insights and the Trade Me Property Estimate. This free resource gathers information primarily from council records including RVs, historical sales data and property details/attributes. It then uses its own algorithm to give an estimated value on what the target property is likely to sell for. A helpful tool from the ever-popular Trade Me family.

Start growing leeks and spinach. Leeks require a little bit of extra effort but they’re well worth it in the end. And spinach is perfect to plant amongst your leek seedlings because you’ll harvest it before the leeks need the space. Spinach is a fantastic plant. Slugs don’t like it, you can eat it when it’s young or old, it grows in dry and wet and just about all year round, and it’s perfect for quiches and salads. You just need to make sure you eat it before it goes to seed. If you want winter veges like broccoli
and cauliflower, to be ready to eat in winter, plant them towards the end of March while the weather and soil is still warm enough to give them a kick start. If you wait till May you’ll end up with broccoli in spring when you might be more interested in eating veges like lettuce. March is also a great time to plant beetroot. Harvest, harvest, harvest. Don’t forget the last of your runner beans. And remember to keep watering your garden regularly.
