Mid Canterbury’s booming school rolls reflect a strong and growing district, says Hampstead School principal Peter Melrose. Thousands of the district’s primary

pupils returned to school yesterday after their summer break. Among them were about 320 children at Hampstead School. Principal Peter Melrose said by the end of 2019 that roll would have grown to about 410.
