Search continues for missing Methven man The search for a missing Methven man will resume today after searchers were unable to locate him over the weekend. George Agnew, 66, hasn’t been heard from since he made contact with his family as lunchtime last Tuesday. He was reported missing by his family on Saturday morning after they were unable to locate or contact him. Agnew’s 25-foot yacht, Solar Heat, was found abandoned on Lake Benmore on Saturday morning – but there was no sign of its owner. It is believed that Agnew had been camping at the Haldon Arm Reserve, on the edge of Lake Benmore near Twizel.
