Ashburton could be part of a looming national oral health crisis due to an ageing dental workforce. A recent survey found that with more than 77 per cent of oral health professionals aged over 50 in Canterbury, school-based community health care could become unavailable and Mid Canterbury health professionals are calling for urgent action.
