He’s heard the ringing of 60,000 school bells during his 46 years in education, but soon Allenton School deputy principal Noel Batty will be able to enjoy some well-deserved peace and quiet. The long serving educator retired after nearly 25 years as

After four years in the top job, he headed back into town in 1989 to take up the deputy principal’s position at Allenton School – a role he has stayed in for over two decades. find relievers for sick teachers at 7am. Mr Batty said he is not leaving the profession completely, as he will continue working in schools as a relief teacher.
