‘I relive shooting horror every day’ A tearful survivor of the Ashburton Work and Income shootings has told a High Court jury she relives the horror of the events of September 1, 2014 every day. Work and Income case worker Kim Elizabeth Adams took the witness stand at the trial of Russell John Tully in Christchurch yesterday afternoon. Tully is accused of murdering Peggy Noble and Leigh Cleveland in the Cass Street office. He is further charged with attempting to murder Ms Adams and her co-worker Lindy Curtis, who was shot in the leg.

At 9.51am on the day in question Ms Adams was filing paperwork when she heard a “huge explosion”. Her immediate thought was that receptionist Peg (Noble) had knocked something over.
