Footloose Program: ASH Theatre Dept.

Director’s Note We could not be more excited to produce “Footloose: The Musical”, and we are so happy that you decided to join us. “Footloose” is a musical about: hope, freedom, adversity, trauma and liberation. It’s so easy to look over “jukebox” musicals and fail to see past the flashy dance numbers and throwback costumes, but our production is driven by the story.

We started with the story, we staged the most important scenes first, and focused on building this story through relationships.

These actors have worked extremely hard on this production. It took over 160 hours of rehearsals for the show to come together.

I couldn’t have done this show without my dream team: Landon Scriber and Benjamin Buller.

In a show that is very dependent on choreography, we are beyond grateful that Miss Louisiana 2018 and current Broadway actor, Holli’ Conway, agreed to choreograph this production. Her presence added a new element to the show, and she really brought the dancers out of these students. She has made it an experience that they will never forget.

To conclude, I just want you to sit back, relax and enjoy some live theatre. I have a strong feeling that this show will provide you some much-needed relief from all of the stressors in today’s world.

MEET THE TEAM Tyler Price, Theatre Director Tyler Price is an artist from New Orleans, Louisiana. Since graduating in 2016 from Northwestern State University with a Bachelor’s in Musical Theatre and Directing, Tyler has been performing regionally around the United States with Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts, Greenbrier Resort & Casino, Le Petit Theatre, Prather Productions, Cedar Point and Busch Gardens Williamsburg. His favorite roles include: Jim in Big River, Judah in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Eddie in Sister Act and Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd. He is a proud alum of the Beta Omicron Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity.

Holli’ Conway, Choreographer Holli’ Conway is a Louisiana girl, born and raised. She is a graduate of Northwestern State University with a degree in Musical Theatre. Holli’ is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Shortly after college, she traveled the open seas as a Playlist Performer on Carnival Cruise Lines, but came home to pursue a separate dream. In 2018, Holli’ won the title of Miss Louisiana. She represented her state at Miss America where she won the preliminary talent competition and placed 2nd Runner-up. Holli’ now lives in New York City and performs as an Ikette in the Original Broadway Cast of the Tony-nominated production, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical.

Landon Scriber, Music Director

Landon received his Bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Mississippi College and his Master’s degree from LSU in choral conducting.

During his undergraduate, Landon performed with Mississippi College Opera and Musical Theatre, as well as professionally with Mississippi Opera. While at LSU, he served as assistant conductor for three of LSU’s choirs, conducted multiple musicals for LSU Musical Theatre, and was a frequent soloist for LSU choral ensembles.

After graduating from LSU, he became the Director of Choral Activities at ASH and Music Minister at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Landon currently sings with two professional choral ensembles, Red Shift and Coro Vocati, and frequently travels the country and abroad to sing and conduct as a freelance musician. Some of his favorite performances include singing the role of the Fence in Coro’s stage production of ‘Considering Matthew Shepard’, his solos in the England based C. S. Lewis Chamber Choir, and the Bass Solo of Mozart’s ‘Requiem’ with Tennessee Wesleyan College and LSU. He plans on returning during the summer of 2021 to sing with Vox Anima on their new upcoming album and to serve as the baritone soloist in a world premiere of a Kim Arnesen masterwork.

Benjamin Buller,

Director of Bands &Rehearsal Pianist Benjamin Buller is the Director of Bands at ASH, where he oversees the ASH Fighting Trojan Band, Symphonic Band, and Percussion Ensemble. Prior to his time at ASH, he earned his Bachelor of Music Education from Louisiana State University, where he was a four-year member of the award-winning Golden Band from Tigerland. He also performed frequently with the LSU Symphonic Winds and Wind Ensemble.

A native of New Orleans, Ben also has extensive experience in Musical Theatre as an orchestral pit musician and production pianist. He has performed in shows by the River Region Drama Guild, St. Luke’s A Wing And A Prayer Productions, St. John Theatre, as well as local high schools. He is thrilled to work with the ASH Theatre Department!

MEET THE CAST Jairus Killings (Ren) Jarius is a senior at ASH. He has been in many productions including “The Little Mermaid” (Sebastian), “Cinderella Enchanted Version”, “Anything Goes”, “Lion King” (Jr-Mufasa). Jarius is currently involved with Outtakes, Highs and Lows Choir, and Best Buddies. He is also a member of the Trojan Football Team.

Tyler Sibley (Ren) Tyler is a junior at ASH. He is a member of the Alexandrians and Highs and Lows.

Khuyen Tran (Ariel) Khuyen is a senior at ASH. Khuyen is also a member of the Troydolls dance team.

Aaron Cummings (Shaw) Aaron is a senior at ASH. He performed in “Once on this Island”. Aaron is also a member of Highs and Lows, Alexandrias, and Best Buddies.

Vanessa Mae Aquino Mirano (Vi) Vanessa is a senior at ASH. She participated in the show “Newsies”. She is also a member of the Highs and Lows.

Jadyn Brunk (Vi) Jadyn is a freshman at ASH. She has starred in several productions including “Shrek: The Musical” (Wicked Witch), “Frozen Jr.” (Anna), “Newsies” (Bowery Beauty), “High School Musical” (Brainiac), “The Wizard of Oz” (Crow/ Jitter & Bug/ Pony), “Madagascar Jr.” (Lynn Lemur), “Peter Pan” (Lost Boy), and “School of Rock” (Shonell). She is a member of the Belle Voix Choir and Highs and Lows.

Zalah Vallien (Rusty) Zalah is a sophomore at ASH. She has auditioned for “The Voice”. Zalah is on the Trojan Cheer Team and is a member of Talented Music.

Daniel Swanson (Willard) Daniel is a sophomore at ASH. Daniel is an active member of the ASH Choral Department, participating in the Highs and Lows and the Alexandrians.

Kennedi Woods (Ethel McCormick) Kennedi is a sophomore at ASH. She has been involved with theater productions at Lagniappe Theatre for four years.

Josiah Watts (Chuck) Josiah is a junior at ASH. Josiah is an active member of the ASH Media Team.

Jeremiah McKinney (Chuck Cranston) Jeremiah is a freshman at ASH. He is a member of the Choral Department and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Jeremiah is also on the Basketball team.

Belle Fine (Urleen) Belle is a freshman at ASH. She has been involved with theatre productions at Lagniappe Theatre for eight years.

Aislinn Cobb (Urleen) Aislinn is a senior at ASH. She participated in “Once on this Island” her freshman year. Aislinn is a member of the Best Buddies Club and serves as president. She is also a member of Highs and Lows, Alexandrians, National Honor Society, Environmental Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Trojan Mentors.

Nina Porras (Wendy Jo) Nina is a sophomore at ASH. Nina is on the Troydolls Dance Team and Student Council.

Clark Jones (Cowboy Bob, Lyle, and Jeter) Clark is a sophomore at ASH. He has been in fourteen shows total, his favorites being “Hairspray”, “Newsies”, and “The Sound of Music”. Clark is a member of the Highs and Lows and the Alexandrians.

Owen Morrow (Garvin & Ensemble) Owen is a freshman at ASH. Owen has participated in several Lagniappe Theatre productions.

Anthony Russell (Bickle) Anthony is a freshman at ASH. He was an actor in the Above All play at the Pentecostals of Alexandria Church. Anthony is involved with Student Council and Track.

Sean Walker Morrow (Lyle) Walker is a junior at ASH. He is a member of the Choral Department and is on the Baseball and Swim team.

Eric Richey (Travis) Eric is a junior at ASH. Eric is also a member of JROTC. Dalton Michiels (Principal Clark) Dalton is a senior at ASH. He starred in the ASH theatre showcase his sophomore year. Dalton is a member of Outtakes Improv and the tabletop gaming club.

Matthew King (Ensemble) Matthew is a senior at ASH. He participated in the ASH theatre showcase his sophomore year. He is a member of Outtakes Improv Group and serves as the Drum Major for the Fighting Trojan Band. He is also on the Bowling team.

Jared Alford (Coach Dunbar) Jared is a junior at ASH. He is on the Trojan football team and is a member of the theatre department.

Haley Gaspard (Lulu Warnicker) Haley is a junior at ASH. She has performed in showcases with Lagniappe Theater, Agage Theater, and Louisiana College. Haley is the junior class secretary, Spanish Club president, and a member of the EPIC yearbook staff.

Maddie Grant (Eleonor Dunbar) Maddie is a senior at ASH. She participated in several Lagniappe productions. Maddie is also on the track team.

Makayla Dangerfield (Ensemble) Makayla is a freshman at ASH. She is on the Trojan Softball and Powerlifting teams.

Cailyn Alexander (Ensemble) Cailyn is a freshman at ASH. She has performed in two plays as well as the ASH Christmas concerts. Cailyn is currently on the Trojan Pomline Squad and a part of the Women’s Choir.

Kayden Shelmire (Ensemble) Kayden is a sophomore at ASH. Kayden is on the track team and is a part of the choir department.

Christian Wells (Ensemble) Christian is a freshman at ASH. Hailey Rachal (Ensemble) Hailey is a sophomore at ASH. She has performed in several dance and choir recitals. Hailey is also a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Alexandrians.

Taylor Havard (Ensemble) Taylor is a sophomore at ASH. She participated in several Lagniappe productions as well as school plays. Taylor is also a member of Choir and Theater.

Ali Smith (Ensemble) Ali is a freshman at ASH. She has been performing in productions for several years. She is also a member of Pomline and the Choral Department.

Kaydence Jeffers (Ensemble) Kaydence is a freshman at ASH. She is involved in the Environmental Club, Student Council, Pomline, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Ro’Tavias Walker (Ensemble) Ro’Tavias is a freshman at ASH. He participates in the Best Buddies club.

Atalya Jefferson (Ensemble) Atalya is a senior at ASH. Sydney Freeman (Ensemble) Sydney is a freshman at ASH. She is a member of the ASH Choral Department.

Emily Pope (Ensemble) Emily is a sophomore at ASH. She has been involved with theatre productions at Lagniappe Theatre for seven years. Emily is also a member of the Environmental Club.

Faith Martin (Ensemble member) Faith is a sophomore at ASH. Faith is a member of the Powerlifting Team.

Christiana Hood (Ensemble) Christina is a sophomore at ASH. She has performed in dance and choir showcases. Christina is a member of Y-teens and Belle Voix.

Amari Scott (Ensemble) Amari is a sophomore at ASH. She is a member of the Y-Teens Club.

Duyen Nguyen (Ensemble) Duyen is a senior at ASH. He is a member of the theatre department.

Amber Johnson (Ensemble) Amber is a freshman at ASH. She is on the powerlifting team and as a member of the choir department.

Anaylcea Garrett (Ensemble) Anaylcea is a freshman at ASH. She is also a member of the Trojan Pomline Squad.

Maddie Ginsburgh (Townspeople) Maddie is a sophomore at ASH. She participates in Choir and Theatre.

Tobin Hennessy (Ensemble) Tobin is a sophomore at ASH. Tobin has performed in six plays.

MEET THE CAST Savannah Robertson (Ensemble) Savannah is a junior at ASH. She participated in “Little Shop of Horrors” in 2018. Savannah is a member of the Trojan Fighting Band, the Choral Department, and Art. Analyse Garrett (Bomot Student Ensemble) Analyse is a freshman at ASH. She is also a member of Pomline.

Olivia Shaw (Stage Manager) Olivia is a senior at ASH. She participated in the ASH showcase her sophomore year. Olivia is also on the bowling team.

Andre Sologaistoa (Stage Manager) Andre is a senior at ASH. Andre participated in the ASH showcase his sophomore year. Andre is also a member of JROTC. Meghan Goss (Stage Manager) Meghan is a senior at ASH. She has participated in the ASH theatre showcase her sophomore year.
