In this issue, we are pleased to feature an article on decolonizing the undergraduate SEEES curriculum in comparative politics by Ela Rossmiller and Anaida Fahradyan and a powerful reflection on the ongoing mass protests in Serbia by theatre scholar and stage director Ljubiša Matić. The issue also includes the announcement of the 2023 ASEEES Distinguished Contributions to Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies Award recipient Lynne Viola, a video interview between recent participants in ASEEES’ Exploring Career Diversity program, the recipients of the 2023 ASEEES internship, summer writing, and dissertation research grants, an update and call for submissions from the ASEEES Committee on Gender Equity, and a full-page spread of summer research photos submitted by members! The cover image for this month’s issue was taken by ASEEES member Sarah Cameron (History, U of Maryland) during her recent trip to the Aral Sea zone in Kazakhstan and submitted as part of our Summer Research Photo series.
