Information about American Space Gharm:
American Space Gharm is a program of the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe. It offers free internet and programming in English for students and adults in Tajikistan.
Classes are open to students of all English proficiency levels.

“TAJIKISTAN”

“Tajikistan is a beautiful country. Tajikistan has 10 million people and has beautiful nature. Tajikistan has lots of water and mountain ranges. We have many beautiful and delicious foods, for example osh, qurutob, mantu, and sambusa. Other nations come here to visit our beautiful country.
We celebrate many holidays, like Navruz, Sada, New Year’s Eve, and many others. We celebrate Navruz on the 21st of March, and we also celebrate the holiday Sada 100 days after Navruz.
Here is one poem about Tajikistan: I would die for you, oh my homeland. I give my soul for you, oh my homeland. Even your roughest stones are like jewels to me. I would die for you, oh my homeland.”

“When I was a child, I had a lot of toys, but my friend didn’t have toys because his family was poor. When we wanted to play, we went to the football field.
Usually after playing football, we would go home but in the afternoon we ate soup and other foods. When we were seven years old, we would go to school and then play football after.”

Located not far from the town of Gharm, this valley is a popular destination for locals and travelers who seek peace, fresh air, and stunning scenery.
The Kamarob River, which flows through the valley with its charm, offers clean water and perfect spots for fishing or relaxing by the shore.
Kamarob is not only beautiful, it also has historical and cultural value. Local people have lived in harmony with the land for generations, persevering, traditional ways of life.”
This article was written by 16 yearold boy, Dovlozoda Abdusalom, a passionate young explorer from Rasht who believes that places like Kamarob are to be known and loved by the world.

“Tajikistan is a mountainous, landlocked country located in Central Asia.
Our Tajikistan has beautiful views of nature and also we have very delicious national foods. For example: shashlik, qurutob, soup and other dishes.
Most of the territory of Tajikistan is covered by mountains, including the Pamirs and other ranges. Tajikistan has a rich history.”

“Gharm is a peaceful town known for its stunning mountains, clear rivers, and proud community spirit. With a population around 10,000, it is a small town full of big dreams.
Gharm’s youth are active, creative, and full of passion. Clubs like the dancing club, debate club, and robotics club help students grow skills and express themselves. American Space Gharm plays a key role by offering resources like free Internet, an English library, and stem programs like Arduino and 3-D modeling.
Gharm is not just where I live, it’s where I feel alive. The people, the nature, and the energy of our youth make it special.
Gharm may be small, but it is full of stories worth sharing. Through this mini magazine, we aim to celebrate our town and inspire others to explore, dream, and connect.
