ASCE / AGC 2018 REGION III DESIGN-BUILD COMPETITION PROBLEM INTRODUCTION The 2018 ASC Region III Design-Build competition will be a healthcare new ambulatory care clinic facility and freestanding emergency department. Proposals are to be prepared in accordance with specific criteria that will be distributed at the Pre-Bid Meeting on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 7 AM. At that meeting, teams should present one (1) hard copy and one (1) electronic copy on a flash drive of the required prequalification information. This shall include: team member introductions, general company overview, project organizational chart, completed AIA A-305 Contractor’s Qualification Statement, and responses to the below listed questions.

Maximum length of this document (not including the AIA A-305) is eight 8 ½ x11, single-sided pages.

Following receipt and evaluation of your prequalification information and written proposals, schedules, estimates and design information, your team will be invited to present your qualifications in person and answer questions from the selection committee.

SELECTION CRITERIA The successful Design-Build Firm will be selected based on the following: Prequalification submission Concept design from a Request for Proposal (RFP) Cost estimate Scheduling Written proposal Oral presentation PROJECT OVERVIEW McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., as “Program Manager”, on behalf of Community Health System Partners intends to procure a qualified design builder to provide services for the new community health care facility. This project includes design and construction of a new building on a greenfield site to house an emergency department, diagnostics/imaging center, 27 primary/specialty care physicians, physical therapy, and pharmacy.
