BEAUTIFUL THING!

A thing beautiful or a beautiful thing Touch the heart of a queen and king I like to hear a church bell ring Or Sam Cooke when he sing That’s a beautiful thing!

SOMETHING IN THE SILENCE

The stillness in the night Knowing everything is alright The peace in your soul The quiet reaching of your goals Still waters run deep And He gives his Beloved sleep Science of the mind Religion, literature, and philosophy of humankind Stars and bars and ugly cars Silence will tell you who you are

MY GRAND DAD

My Grand Dad was mad. He loved his licker and homemade beer. I wish he still was here. Corn licker and dandelion wine… Do that make you sick in the mind? I have an excuse for being a drunk. Would I have an excuse for being a monk? My Grand Dad was mad. He loved his licker and homemade beer. I wish he still was here.

BRONXWOOD AVENUE

The skunk and stray cat. The raccoon and the rat. A church woman wearing a big hat. Where am I at? This poem may not sound good, But I’m on Bronxwood.

ONE DAY

One day I woke up and I was 60 years old. My dreams haven’t come true and I haven’t reached my goal. One day I woke up and I was broke My life was a big joke One day I was a dog looking for a bone A homeless man looking for a home How long has this been going on? Going on! How long has this been going on? Going on! Don’t forget where you come from You Bum!

LIFE!

Life is a big noise! That disturbs me and the boys Life is full of devils and fools Who don’t give a fuck about the rules And they say, “You are born to lose.” I want a life that’s unique Happy and complete Sound and sweet A funky beat with dancing feet Life!
