The American School of Bombay (ASB) seeks a dynamic and innovative educator with a passion for technology integration and a growth mindset to teach design technology, robotics, and IB Computer Science. Your Responsibilities at ASB: Teaching and Learning ● Deliver engaging instruction in design technology, robotics, and IB DP Computer Science using various teaching strategies appropriate for adolescent learners. ● Use AI tools (e.g., chatbots, coding assistants, or data analysis platforms) to enhance student learning and encourage innovative thinking. ● Scaffold and support students while gradually encouraging independent thinking and problem-solving through AI-enhanced practices. ● Incorporate AI concepts—such as machine learning, automation, and natural language processing—to help students explore how emerging technologies shape the world. ● Guide students in the ethical use of AI tools and critically evaluate their limitations, with discussions around algorithmic bias and societal impact. ● Use culturally responsive teaching practices to ensure instruction promotes inclusivity and digital equity. ● Use digital tools aligned with ISTE standards to help students become empowered learners, creative communicators, and global collaborators. ● Foster interdisciplinary connections by integrating AI concepts with mathematics, science, and humanities, encouraging students to apply computational thinking to real-world problems. ● Create opportunities for students to collaborate with peers. Curriculum and Planning ● Design hands-on, engaging units that connect to real-world issues, embedding AI concepts to help students develop future-ready skills. ● Develop project-based learning experiences integrating computer science, robotics, and engineering, focusing on creatively applying AI tools and techniques. ● Plan and facilitate interdisciplinary learning that allows students to explore AI applications in STEAM fields and beyond. ● Embed computational thinking and data literacy into units, ensuring students understand the principles underlying AI technologies. ● Prototype, evaluate, and refine new courses reflecting the latest trends in emerging technologies. ● Document units in ATLAS Rubicon and collaborate with peers using Google Team Drives.
