POSITION SUMMARY

The American School of Bombay seeks an innovative and collaborative Middle School Mathematics Teacher to deliver engaging instruction that fosters conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving. The role includes responsibilities related to teaching and learning, curriculum development, student wellbeing, collaboration, and professional practice.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The minimum qualification are: ●​ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and a valid teaching credential in mathematics. ●​ Minimum of three years of mathematics teaching experience in a K–12 accredited school.

Deliver engaging mathematics instruction that fosters critical thinking, conceptual understanding, and problem-solving.

Scaffold instruction to support diverse learners while promoting independence, creativity, and mathematical reasoning, adapting teaching strategies to students’ developmental needs, prior knowledge, and learning preferences.

Integrate technology, digital tools, and AI applications to deepen learning, develop computational thinking, and enhance reflection and digital fluency.

Design authentic learning experiences aligned with AERO Common Core Math Standards that connect mathematics to real-world applications and interdisciplinary STEAM learning.

Use data and formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress, refine instruction, and provide meaningful feedback.

Foster a respectful and inclusive environment through advisory, student supervision, and daily interactions that support empathy, teamwork, cultural understanding, and student wellbeing.

Chaperone experiential learning programs and support co-curricular activities that extend student learning and engagement.

Collaborate with colleagues to refine instructional practices, support student learning, and contribute to departmental, divisional, and school-wide initiatives.

Document curriculum, assessments, and resources using shared tools and school-approved platforms.
