Initial 2-year contract, annual renewal thereafter

Position Summary: The High School Associate Principal at ASB serves as a member of the high school leadership team and is pivotal in helping to foster a safe, inclusive, and rigorous learning environment for every learner. Working closely with the Middle & High School Principal and colleagues on the high school leadership team, the High School Associate Principal contributes to the implementation of divisional initiatives, instructional programs, and student support services. This position requires a dynamic and collaborative leader who can effectively support the Principal in implementing day-to-day operations, student pastoral and disciplinary care, professional development, and parent education initiatives. The High School Associate Principal is a key liaison among students, educators, families, and the wider ASB community, promoting a culture of respect, belonging, and growth. Responsibilities include supervising educators, facilitating professional learning experiences, monitoring and addressing student behavior and attendance, and ensuring the implementation of systems and procedures. In addition, the High School Associate Principal plays a key role in campus safety planning, scheduling and timetabling, data generation and analysis, and the support of multidisciplinary intervention strategies for learners. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and a deep commitment to educational excellence and student success for students across grades 9 to 12. As well, the successful candidate will actively engage in and contribute to schoolwide initiatives and priorities, making themselves flexible and available to support divisional and whole school programming outside of the school day.
Your Responsibilities at ASB: Instructional Engagement ● Contribute to the development of the written, taught, and assessed curriculum in collaboration with the Middle & High School Principal, curriculum leaders, and educators. ● Help develop systems and structures that facilitate the delivery of a high-quality program across Grades 9-12. ● Collaborate with the IB Diploma Coordinator in taking a comprehensive and holistic approach to delivering the IB Diploma Programme at ASB.
