DEUTSCH ClavierÜbung Teil 2: Der weltliche Cembalostil Die Vier Duette (aus dem dritten Teil der Klavierübung): Fromme Kontemplation

genwart zweier Intervalle (der Sekunde und der Quinte) sowie die Tritonus-Beziehung zwischen den beiden Kompositionen (F und b), die die Oktave in zwei gleichgroße Hälften teilt.

Während die sechs Partiten von Johann Sebastian Bach den reinen Personalstil kompositorischer Meisterschaft widerspiegeln, sind das Konzert im italienischen Stil und die Ouvertüre in französischer Manier Beispiele dafür, wie Bach wenngleich mit liebevoller Parodie und sanfter Ironie “à la manière” mit den beiden populärsten Stilen seiner Zeit umging.

Dementsprechend verdankt das Italienische Konzert, das siebente Werk in der Gesamtfolge der ClavierÜbungen, seine musikalischen Strukturen den Sekunden sowie der Kombination und dem Nebeneinander zweier Quinten innerhalb einer Oktave. Aneinandergrenzende Quinten bilden innerhalb einer Oktave eine Septime. Auch die Französische Ouvertüre, das zweite Werk des zweiten Buches und das achte Werk der Gesamtfolge, verläßt sich auf die beiden allgegenwärtigen Intervalle, wobei in diesem Fall komplexe Septimen in einer zweiten Oktave entstehen.

Bachs spielerische Fantasie bewegt sich wieder in den Bereich des musikalischen Symbolis-mus hinein. In den beiden Werken ergibt die Tonartenwahl F (der sechste Buchstabe) und des h (der achte Buchstabe) dieselbe Summe wie die Buchstaben des Namens BACH (2+1+3+8 = 14). Die Französische Ouvertüre, das achte Werk in der Gesamtfolge, hat vierzehn Sätze.

Beide Kompositionen sind Cembaloübertragungen des jeweiligen nationalen Orchesterstils und verbergen durchweg einen subtilironischen kompositorischen Humor: Sie wimmeln von Stimmführungsfehlern und harmonischen Plumpheiten, wie sie typisch für diese Stile sind! Als herausragende Beispiele möchte ich die dauernd vorhandenen Fortschreitungen paralleler Quinten, die linkischen Septim-Auflösungen und die abrupten Übergänge anführen. Vielleicht hat sich Bach über den italienischen Gusto und die französische Art lustig gemacht!

Die Vier Duette aus dem großen dritten Buch der ClavierÜbung sind nur für ein Instrument mit drei Tastaturen (die Orgel) geschrieben und teilen mit der Französischen Ouvertüre dasselbe Schicksal. Sie gehören zu den am seltensten aufgeführten Meisterwerken von Johann Sebastian Bach. Das heißt: von Pianisten. Doch die Vernachlässigung ist nicht allein deren Fehler, da diese Juwelen in dem Orgelbuch der ClavierÜbung verborgen sind. Sie können auf dem Klavier ideal ausgeführt werden, weil sie in einer transparenten zweistimmigen Textur geschrieben sind. Interessanterweise sind die Duette von allen Stücken in diesem Magnum opus die einzigen ohne Registrierungsanweisungen. Man kann annehmen, daß sie manualiter gedacht waren, weil sie direkt dem 21. Stück folgen, der Fuga super Jesus Christus unser Heiland.

Zugleich verwendet Bach in seinem zweiten Band der ClavierÜbung die einzigartige technische Organisation des ersten Buches eine paradoxe Dualität. Auf der einen Seite stehen die merkwürdigen Manieren des Gusto und der Art, angefüllt mit kompositorischen Fauxpas, die für die Musik des Meisters untypisch sind; auf der anderen Seite findet man das komplexe Verfahren, mit dem der Komponist bereits bei den Partiten mit Hilfe von Intervallverhältnissen, Harmonie und Rhythmus eine musikalische Einheit zu realisieren trachtete.

Die beiden Werke sind die ersten, die Bach für das Cembalo bestimmt hat (hier kann man als gutes Argument anführen, daß die Partiten auf dem Clavichord gespielt werden sollten). Und in beiden Kompositionen ist die allgegenwärtige Bedeutung der “2“ unverkennbar. Um die offensichtlichsten zu nennen: Es sind Kompositionen für ein Instrument mit zwei Tastaturen, zwei Stücke innerhalb eines Opus, zwei Modi und Tonarten innerhalb eines Werkes, zwei Stimmen gegenüber einer dritten, ein proportionaler musikalischer Raum innerhalb von zwei Oktaven und schließlich die Allge-

Im Dux dieser Bravourfuge verwendet Bach Material aus der Baßstimme der letzten fünf PräludienTakte. In deutlichem Gegensatz zum Vorigen verraten die Vier Duette ein Gefühl frommer

Christopher Czaja Sager ist ein ungewöhnlich vielseitiger und erfahrener Musiker. Er wurde in New York City geboren und lebt seit 1975 in Europa. Sowohl bei Kollegen als auch bei Kennern erfreut er sich einer hohen Wertschätzung. Sein Repertoire ist provozierend, sowohl im Hinblick auf seinen Umfang als auf seine Zusammenstellung: Programme der Wie-ner und Londoner Meister des 18.

Jahrhun-derts, ein Skrjabin-Schönberg-Abend oder ein Kammermusikabend mit Werken des persönli-chen Freundes und Mentors Samuel Barber of-fenbaren das Typische seines musikalischen Intellekts. Gleichwohl steht nach wie vor die Klaviermusik von Johann Sebastian Bach im Mittelpunkt seines Interesses. Seit dem Bach-Jahr 1985 führt Czaja Sager die Clavierübung auf und gibt Meisterklassen zu der verborge-nen musikalischen Konstruktion dieses mei-sterhaften Zyklus.

Als begeisterter Kammermusiker hat Czaja Sager mit der bekannten Sopranistin Adele Addison Konzertreisen durch die USA unternommen. Er hat Aufnahmen für die BBC, den Bayerischen Rundfunk, das NRK, den ORF, sämtliche wichtigen niederländischen Rundfunkanstalten und die amerikanische PBS gemacht. Er ist Erster Preisträger der National Auditions für Pianisten von Washington, D.C., der Cembalo-Gesellschaft von New York und der Biennial Recording Competiti-on. Weiterhin erhielt er den Ersten Preis des Artist Support Fund und gab Konzerte in ganz Europa. Nach dem Erfolg der erwähnten Tournee konzertierte er im New Yorker Lin-coln Center und wurde infolgedessen von Ol-ga Koussevitsky eingeladen, an den Konzerten zum 100. Geburtstag von Sergej Rachmaninoff teilzunehmen. Als Solist hat er mit den Diri-genten Leon Barzin, Ernest Bour, Sir Edward Downes, James Levine, Amerigo Marino, Ger-ard Oskamp, Antonio Ros Marba, Kenneth Montgomery, Leif Segerstam und Ed Spanjaard musiziert. Czaja Sager hat Meister-klassen in Österreich, Belgien, Deutschland, den Niederlanden und den USA gegeben.

Czaja Sager begann sein Klavierstudium bei Frances Moyer Kuhns, dem bekannten Matthay-Exponenten. Danach studierte er bei Emil Danenberg, einem Assistenten von Arnold Schönberg. Er schloß seine Studien bei Rosina Lhevinne an der Juilliard School ab und erwarb die höchsten Ehren und Grade des Instituts. Accordingly, the Italian Concerto, the seventh work in the full sequence, owes its musical structures to seconds and the combination and juxtaposition of two fifths within an octave.

Adjacent fifths within an octave form a seventh.

The French Ouverture, the second work in the second book and the eighth work in the full sequence, relies also on the two ubiquitous intervals, in this case producing complex sevenths into a second octave. Bach’s playful imagination again extends into musical symbolism. In the two works the choice of the keys, F (the sixth letter) and h (the eighth letter) sum up the total of four letters BACH (2+1+3+8 = 14). The French Ouverture, the eighth work in the total sequence, has 14 movements.

The Four Duets from the great third book of the ClavierÜbung, now for an instrument of three keyboards (the organ), share a fate in common with French Ouverture: It is one of the leastfrequently played masterpieces of J.S. Bach.

That is: by pianists. But the neglect is not entirely their fault, since these gems sit in the organ-book of the ClavierÜbung. They can be ideally realised on the pianoforte, however because they are written in a transparent twovoice texture. Interestingly enough, of all the pieces in this magnum opus, the duets were not given registration indications. One can assume that they were intended for manualiter designation since they directly follow the 21st piece, the Fuga super Jesus Christus unser Heiland.

The Four Duets appear just before the monumental concluding five-voice fugue. The fourth Duet (in A minor) reveals the same tri-tone relationship used in the first two books of the ClavierÜbung. The opening movement of this book, the St. Anne Preludium, is in E flat major. For the first time, however, the full sequence of a book concludes in the initial tonality, E flat major (St. Anne Fugue). The dux of this bravura fugue uses material from the bass voice in the last five measures of the opening preludium. In stark contrast to the aforementioned, the Four Duets, particulary in the first, exhibit a feeling of pious contempla-tion, in the second and third, transcendant joy, and in the fourth perhaps the last struggle?

While the Six Partitas represent the pure personal style of J.S. Bach’s compositional mastery, the Concerto in the Italian Style and the Ouverture in the French Manner are examples of Bach writing „à la manière“ in the two leading popular styles of his time, albeit with affectionate parody and gentle irony.

Both these works, transcriptions of the two national orchestral styles for harpsichord, hide a consistent and subtle tongue-in-cheek compositional humour: they abound in voiceleading errors and harmonic „gaucheries“ typical of their style! As paramount examples I cite the constant occurrence of progressions of parallel fifths, awkward resolutions of sevenths and abrupt transitions. Perhaps Bach was poking fun at the Italian Gusto and the French Art! The second book of the ClavierÜbung uses at the same time the previous unique technical organisation of the first book. A paradoxical duality! On one hand the curious manner of Gusto and Art filled with compositional faux pas uncharacteristic of the Master’s music, on the other hand the same complex manner of his Partitas with their total unification according to all possible musical realisations of number in intervallic relationships, harmony and rhythm.

In both works, the first which Bach designated for harpsichord (in this matter one can make a strong argument that the first book, the Partitas, was intended to be played on the clavichord), the omnipresent significance of II can be discerned. To name the most obvious: compositions for an instrument with two keyboards, two works within one opus, two modes within one work, two keys within one work, two voices played against one voice, proportional musical space operating within two octaves, two ubiquitous intervals: the second and the fifths and the tritone relation-ship of the two compositions (F and b) which devide the octave in two.

CHRISTOPHER CZAJA SAGER Christopher Czaja Sager is a musician of unusual versatility and experience. Born in New York City and living in Europe since 1975, he enjoys an esteemed reputation among both his colleagues and connoisseurs. His repertoire is provocative, both broad and eclectic: programs of the Viennese-London pianoforte masters of the 18th century, a Scriabine-Schoenberg evening, or a chamber music program of Samuel Barber (a personel friend and mentor), typically reveal his musical sophistication.

However, it is the keyboard music of Johann Sebastian Bach which remains his central interest. Since the „Bach Year“ 1985, Czaja Sager has been performing the Clavierübung and has been giving Master Classes concerning the hidden musical construction of this masterful cycle.

An enthusiastic chamber musician, Czaja Sager toured the U.S.A. with the distinguished concert soprano, Adele Addison. He has made broadcasts for the BBC, the Bavarian radio, the NRK, the ORF, all the important Dutch radio socie-ties, and PBS in the U.S.A. Winner of the First Prize of the National Auditions for Pianists in Wash-ington D.C. First Prize of the Harpsichord Society of New York and the Biennial Recording Competition, he received the first Artist Sup-port Fund Award and performed throughout Europe. Upon the success of this tour, he ap-peared at Lincoln Center, New York, and was thereafter invited by Mme Olga Koussevitsky to perform on the Rachmaninoff Centennial program. He has been soloist with orchestra with the conductors Leon Barzin, Ernest Bour, Sir Edward Downes, James Levine, Amerigo Marino, Gerard Oskamp, Antonio Ros Marba, Kenneth Montgomery, Leif Segerstam, and Ed Spanjaard. Czaja Sager has given Master Clas-ses in Austria, Belgium, Germany, the Nether-lands, and the U.S.A.

Czaja Sager began his piano studies with the noted Matthay exponent, Frances Moyer Kuhns. Thereafter, he studied with Emil Danen-berg, an assistant of Arnold Schoenberg. He completed his conservatory studies with Mme Rosina Lhevinne at the Juilliard School, where he earned the School’s highest honors and de-grees. Other important peda-

une architecture musicale reposant sur des secondes, la combinaison et la juxtaposition de deux quintes à l’intérieur d’ une octave. Deux quintes adjacentes à l’intérieur d’une octave donnent une septième. L’Ouverture française, deuxième composition du Second Livre huitième oeuvre du cycle complet, est également bâtie sur ces deux intervalles omniprésents qui donnent ici des septièmes complexes dans une seconde octave. L’imagination ludique de Bach aboutit une fois encore au symbolisme musical. Dans les deux oeuvres le choix de la tonalité, fa (la sixième lettre de l’alphabet) et si (la huitième lettre) correspond à la somme des quatre lettres BACH (2+1+3+8= 14).

Tandis que les six partitas révèlent le pur style personnel de l’art de J.S. Bach compositeur, le Concerto dans le goût italien et l’Ouverture dans le style français le montrent composant, non sans aimable parodie et douce ironie, «à la manière de» dans chacun des deux styles musicaux les plus populaires de son temps.

Ces deux oeuvres, qui adaptent pour le clavecin les deux styles orchestraux nationaux, recèlent un humour musical pince-sans-rire, subtil et pertinent: elles abondent en erreurs dans la conduite des voix et en «gaucheries harmoniques» typiques de leurs styles respectifs. Citons, pour suprême exemple, l existence permanente de progressions en quintes parallèles, les résolutions maladroites de septièmes et des transitions abruptes. Peut-être Bach se moquaitil du gusto italien et de l’art français!

L’ Ouverture française, huitième oeuvre du cycle complet, compte 14 mouvements. Les quatre Duettos, pièces du grand Livre III de la Clavier-Übung composées pour un instrument à trois claviers (l’orgue) partagent le même sort que l’ Ouverture française: ce sont l’un des chefs-d’oeuvre les moins souvent joués de Bach – du moins par les pianistes. Mais la responsabilité de cette négligence ne leur incombe pas entièrement car ces joyaux se trouvent dans le livre pour orgue de la ClavierÜbung. Leur texture transparente à deux voix en font des pièces idéales pour le pianoforte. Il est intéressant de constater que de toutes les pièces de cet opus magnum, seuls les Duettos ne présentent pas d’indications de registration.

On peut supposer qu’ils étaient censés présenter la mention manualiter, car ils viennent immédiatement après la pièce n° 21, la Fuga super «Jesus Christus unser Heiland».

Le second livre de la ClavierÜbung recourt à l’ organisation technique unique du Livre I. Dualité paradoxale ! D’une part la manière curieuse du gusto et de l’art truffée d’erreurs de composition atypiques de la musique du Maître, d’autre part, la manière complexe de ses Partitas et leur totale uniformisation en fonction de toutes les réalisations musicales possibles de nombres dans des rapports d’intervalle, l’harmonie et le rythme.

Dans les deux oeuvres, dont la première fut conçue par Bach pour le clavecin (ce point constitue un argument solide étayant le fait que le Premier Livre était destiné au clavecin), l’ importance omniprésente du chiffre 2 est flagrante: autrement dit nous avons affaire ici à des compositions pour un instrument à deux claviers, l’opus comporte deux oeuvres, deux modes, deux tonalités dans chaque oeuvre, deux voix jouées au-dessus d’une voix, l’espace musical est circonscrit à deux octaves et il y a deux intervalles partout présents: la seconde et la quinte et le rapport de triton entre les deux compositions (fa et si bémol) qui divise l’octave en deux.

Les quatre Duettos précèdent la monumentale fugue à cinq voix qui conclut le Livre III. Le Duetto IV (en la mineur) révèle un rapport de triton identique à celui utilisé dans les deux premiers livres de la Clavier-Übung. La première pièce de ce livre, le Prélude dit de Sainte Anne, est en mi bémol majeur. C’est la première fois qu’un livre s’achève sur la tonalité initiale, en l’occurrence mi bémol majeur (Fugue de Sainte Anne). Le sujet de ce morceau de bravoure utilise un matériau musical emprunté à la partie de basse des cinq dernières mesures du prélude introductif. Formant un vif contraste avec la pièce que l’on vient d évoquer, les quatre Duettos, le premier notamment, sont empreints d’un climat de pieuse méditation, de joie transcendante pour le se-

Christopher Czaja Sager est un musicien qui se distingue par une versatilité et un métier hors du commun. Né à New York, il vit en Europe depuis 1975 et jouit d’une enviable réputation auprès de ses pairs et des mélomanes.

Son ré-pertoire, qui sort des sentiers battus, est à la fois étendu et éclectique: programmes d’oeuv-res des maîtres du pianoforte viennois et lon-doniens du 18e siècle, récitals Schoenberg-Scriabine, ou programmes de musique de chambre de Samuel Barber (un ami personnel et un mentor) révèlent au mieux l’art recherché de cet interprète. C’est toutefois la musique pour clavier de Johann Sebastian Bach qui demeure au centre de son intérêt musical. Depuis 1985, année Bach, il n’a cessé de jouer le Cla-vierübung et a donné des cours d’interprétati-on consacrés à l’architecture musicale cachée de ce cycle magistral.

Musicien de chambre passionné, Czaja Sager fit des tournées de récitals aux États-Unis avec la célèbre soprano Adele Addison. Il a participé à des émissions radiophoniques diffusées par la BBC, la Radio bavaroise, la NRK, la Radio autrichienne, toutes les grandes stations des Pays-Bas et PBS aux États-Unis. Il remporta le premier prix des National Auditions for Pianists organisées à Washington D.C. de la Harpsichord Society, New York et de la Biennial Recording Competition et fut le pre-mier lauréat de l’Artist Support Fund Award et donna des concerts dans toute l’Europe. Suite au succès remporté au cours de cette tournée, il se produisit au Lincoln Center de New York et fut alors invité par Olga Koussevitzky à jouer lors du concert célèbrant le 100e anniversaire de la naissance de Rachmaninov. Soliste, il s’est produit avec divers orchestres dirigés par Leon Barzin, Ernest Bour, Sir Edward Downes, Ja-mes Levine, Amerigo Marino, Gerard Oskamp, Antonio Ros Marba, Kenneth Montgomery, Leif Segerstam et Ed Spanjaard. Czaja Sager a donné de cours d’interprétation en Au-triche, Belgique, Allemagne, aux Pays-Bas et aux États-Unis.

Czaja Sager commença à étudier le piano auprès de Frances Moyer Kuhns, éminente représentante de l’école de piano de Tobias Matthay. Il poursuivit sa formation auprès d’Emil Danenberg, un assistant d’Arnold Schoenberg et termina ses études auprès de Rosina Lhevinne à la Juilliard School of Music qu’il quitta avec les diplômes et les honneurs les plus prestigieux conférés par cet établissement. El Concerto Italiano, por su parte, la séptima obra de la colección completa, debe sus estruc-turas musicales a segundas y la combinación y yuxtaposición de dos quintas dentro de una octava. Las quintas adyacentes dentro de una octava forman una séptima. La Obertura Francesa, la segunda obra del segundo libro y la octava dentro de la secuencia completa, se basa igualmente en los dos intervalos omni-presentes que, en éste caso, tornan complejas séptimas en una segunda octava. La inquieta imaginación de Bach se extiende de nuevo al simbolismo musical. En ambas obras, la elec-ción de las teclas, fa (la sexta letra) y si [=si natural] (la octava letra) forman un total de las cuatro letras BACH (2+1+3+8 = 14). La Ober-tura Francesa, la octava obra de la secuencia total, cuenta con 14 movimientos.

En tanto que las Seis Partitas representan el estilo puro personal de la composición magistral de J.S. Bach, el Concerto, de estilo italiano y la obertura al estilo francés son ejemplos de las obras de Bach escritas „à la manière“ en los dos principales estilos populares de su época, aunque con parodia afectuosa y suave ironía.

Ambas obras, transcripciones de dos estilos nacionales orquestales para clavicordio, ocultan un humor irónico, sutil y consistente a la vez: hay abundantes errores de las voces cantantes y „gaucheries“ armónicas, ambas cosas típicas de su estilo. Como ejemplos cum-bres me permito citar la constante ocurrencia de progresiones de quintas paralelas, torpes resoluciones de séptimas y abruptas transi-ciones. Tal vez Bach trataba de mofarse del gusto italiano y del art francés!

Los Cuatro Duetos del tercer gran libro del ClavierÜbung, compuestos para un instrumento de tres teclados (el órgano) son del mismo carácter que la Obertura Francesa. Se trata aquí de una magistral obra de J.S. Bach, raramente interpretada por pianistas. En este caso, sin embargo, no es por negligencia alguna de estos, dado que estas maravillas se encuen-tran en el libro de órgano del ClavierÜbung. Pueden interpretarse magníficamente en el pianoforte ya que están escritas en una trans-parente textura de dos voces. Cabe anotar que, de todas las piezas contenidas en esta magna obra, son los duetos los únicos que carecen de registración.

Podría suponerse que estaban destinados para designación manualiter ya que siguen inmediatamente a la 21a. obra, la magnífica fuga sobre Jesus Christus unser Heiland.

El segundo libro del ClavierÜbung emplea al mismo tiempo la singular organización técnica del primer libro. Dualidad paradójica! De una parte el singular modo de gusto y art, una com-posición llena de faux pas tan poco caracte-rísticos de la música del gran maestro, y de otra parte el mismo modo complejo de sus Partitas, con su total unificación acorde con todas las realizaciones musicales numéricas posibles en relaciones de intervalos, armonía y ritmo.

En ambas obras, las primeras que fueron destinadas por Bach para ser interpretadas en el clavicordio (aunque en este contexto se puede argüir vehementemente que las composiciones del primer libro, es decir de las Partitas, deberían ser interpretadas en el clavicordio, puede discernirse la trascendencia omnipresente de la Parte II. Para nombrar tan sólo algunas de las más características más notorias: composiciones para un instrumento con dos teclados, dos obras dentro de un mismo opus, dos modos dentro de una misma obra, dos claves dentro de una obra, dos voces contra una sóla, un espacio musical propor-cional entre dos octavas, dos intervalos omni-presentes: la segunda y la quinta, y la

Los Cuatro Duetos aparecen justamente antes de la monumental fuga final, a cinco voces. El cuarto dueto (en la menor) revela la misma relación tritonal empleada en los dos primeros libros del ClavierÜbung. Christopher Czaja Sager es un músico de extraordinaria versatilidad y experiencia. Nacido en Nueva York y radicado en Europa desde 1975, goza de un excelente renombre tanto entre sus compañeros como entre los conocedores. Su repertorio es provocativo, amplio y ecléctico: programas de los maestros del piano-forte, vieneses y londinenses, del siglo XVIII, una velada Scriabine-Schoenberg o un progra-ma de música de cámara de Samuel Barber (su amigo personal y mentor) revelan típicamente su sofisticación musical. No obstante, es la música para instrumentos de teclado compue-sta por Johann Sebastian Bach la que es objeto de su interés principal.

Desde el „Año de Bach“, en 1985, Czaja ha interpretado la Clavierübung y ha dado Clases Magistrales refe-rentes a la oculta construcción musical de este notable ciclo.

Un entusiasta músico de cámara, Czaja Sager realizó una gira de conciertos por los Estados Unidos de América con la distinguida soprano Adele Addison. Ha hecho transmisiones radiofónicas para la BBC, la radio bávara, la NRK, la ORF, para las más importantes sociedades radiofónicas holandesas y para PBS en los Estados Unidos. Ganador del Primer Premio de las Audiciones Nacionales para Piani-stas en Washington D.C., delle Harpsichord Society, New York y del Concurso Bienal de Grabación, recibió el primer Artist Support Fund Award y se presentó en muchos países de Europa. En vista del éxito logrado en esta gira, se presentó en el Lincoln Center de la ciudad de Nueva York y posteriormente fue invitado por Mme. Olga Koussevitsky para actuar en el programa organizado para el Centenario de Rachmaninoff. Como solista se ha presentado bajo dirigentes tales como Leon Barzin, Ernest Bour, Sir Edward Downes, James Levine, Amerigo Marino, Gerard Oskamp, Antonio Ros Marba y Leif Segerstam. Czaja Sager ha dado Clases Magistrales en Austria, Bélgica, Alemania, los Países Bajos y Estados Unidos de América.

Czaja Sager comenzó sus estudios de piano con la connotada alumna de Matthay, Frances Moyer Kuhns. Posteriormente estudió bajo la dirección de Emil Danenberg, alumno de Arnold Schoenberg. Completó sus estudios de conservatorio con Mme. Rosina Lhevinne en la Juilliard School, donde obtuvo las máximas menciones honoríficas concedidas por dicha escuela.
