Silk Road Songbook is a socially engaged, participatory project. SRS integrates songs with landscapes, re-tracing one of the major arteries of the ancient trade route that spanned Eurasia from Istanbul through West and Central Asia to Xi’an, China. SRS is intended to facilitate the creation of original songs, giving voice to participating individuals who are part of the communities that live along the route.
