The natural qualities that animate the Pacific Northwest have filled my life and my imagery since finding a home in Northern Idaho. Its wild beauty has taken me. The wilderness to the west of the Rockies is alive with an idyllic disposition and dramatis personae that invoke an animist sensibility and compels a strong sense of belonging to the earth. I also have been painting to help find personal answers to the troubles brewing beyond my secluded acres of wild land.”

“T he technical aspects of painting remain the same necessary and essential. However, they are as unconsciously accomplished when I paint as it's breathing.

The painting itself draws out my heart and soul of me simply by me picking up the palette knife and brush and allowing the piece to life. I do not question this and by my acceptance of it, each painting takes on a life and a purpose of its own.”
