FOREWORD We are delighted to be exhibiting, both online and in our gallery at 14 Duke Street, St James’s, a collection of 50 works priced at under £30,000.

These works offer the opportunity to collectors at all levels to acquire fine paintings from a wide variety of artists and subjects, all distinguished by being fine examples by the artist and of the particular genre.

This view of ‘Chequers’ was commissioned in 1982 by Baroness Margaret Thatcher (1925-2013), who made use of the residence during her 11 year term as Prime Minister (1979–1990).

It hung in her Belgravia flat in London for years, a reminder of her time in office.
