ArtsEd’s Got Talent was streamed on Thursday evening, bringing our online Social Six evenings to an inspiring close.

Collages of the ‘Seven Deadly Sins’ During this lockdown period year 10 Artists have been researching then creating collages in response to the theme of ‘The Seven Deadly Sins’ with the aim or completing one per week. Here you can see one collage from each student for each sin. Some have worked digitally but most have printed out their images at home before collaging them alongside painted and drawn elements. George has used photos he took himself and then incorporated 3D elements.

We shall be going on to look at the Surrealist art movement especially the way that they used found objects, such as shop mannequins and then added additional objects and images to them. Students will be choosing one of the sins to focus on before making a 3D outcome incorporating inspiration from the Surrealists alongside images and ideas from their collages.
