TheGreen Green Roof The Roof Needs You! Part of ArtsEd’s Shaping The Future Capital Campaign
The Green Roof needs you! The Green Roof is a spacious, versatile roof terrace on the top floor of ArtsEd’s new courtyard building. It’s for the exclusive use of our Day School and Sixth Form pupils and includes a new drama studio opening directly on to this inviting, inspirational outdoor space. We need your help to make the most of it! 2

These are just a few of the ways in which the space will come into its own: Outside The Box Pupils will be able to explore the creative potential of working outside a theatre or studio space including site-specific choreography or promenade theatre.
Peaceful Reflection Whether it’s a yoga session, a mindfulness moment or just a quiet chat, the Green Roof will provide a calm space to pause and reflect — great for mental health and well-being.
Fresh Air Pupils will be able to let off steam and breathe in some fresh air at break times and lunchtimes. Thanks to shade and rain canopies, the Green Roof can be enjoyed every day, whatever the weather.
Green Fingers There will be all kinds of ways to get involved with eco projects. Growing plants, setting up weather stations, even monitoring our new solar panel field. Photo: Yasmin Attree Faloona
Beyond The Classroom As performers and artists many of our pupils love to learn by doing. The Green Roof will provide the space and opportunity for academic lessons to get creative outside of the classroom.
Party Time A space for the whole school to enjoy! Mini sports days, charity bake sales, summer parties … and much more. 4

Please Help Us When our new building opens, the Green Roof and new studio space will be accessible, safe and structurally sound. But they’ll be far from exciting. We want to make the space really welcoming, flexible and interesting, somewhere that brings real joy to the daily lives of ArtsEd pupils … with your help we can make this happen. That’s why we’ve set a fundraising target of £120,000 to cover things like plants and planters, seating, shade canopies, AV studio equipment and technical flooring.
Support The Green Roof Gifts of all sizes will help bring the Green Roof to life. Whether you donate £10, £100 or £1000, your support is going to make the Green Roof a truly exceptional space for your children to enjoy. Every donor will be publicly acknowledged, their name lovingly inscribed on our Cloud Wall up on the roof.

So, here’s how you can support us: • Make a donation online at artsed.co.uk/support-us/. • Support TAP events throughout the year. • Share the Green Roof campaign with friends, family and businesses. Do get in touch if there’s an element of the Green Roof that particularly takes your fancy, we would love to hear your ideas. You can also get the Green Roof campaign off to a flying start by sponsoring key parts of the build: Sponsor A Step A gift of £5,000+ will pave the way to the Green Roof — literally. There are 12 steps up to the roof space and studio. So, 12 supporters would get us halfway to our target of £120,000. Your generosity would be acknowledged with your name, or perhaps a fitting quote on your step ...
Sponsor The Studio Naming rights are available for this wonderful new space, a sponsorship opportunity that would leave a lasting legacy at ArtsEd.
The Green Roof: Our Crowning Glory The Green Roof is part of Shaping the Future, a £20 million capital project that will transform our Chiswick home so that it offers the best possible facilities, ensuring ArtsEd remains at the forefront of performing arts training in the UK. Phase One of the project was completed in November 2013, with the opening of the beautiful Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation Theatre. Phase Two is currently on track with the new courtyard building of classrooms, studios and rehearsal spaces due to be handed over in autumn 2020. A major capital campaign is underway to fund the final phase of this development — a brand new theatre.
