Artworks are enlarged and exhibited on the exteriors of buildings across the city, creating an outdoor gallery and art trail. Look Up for Leicester 2017 presents Foreigner: Migration into Europe by British Journal of Photography’s International Photographer of the Year 2017, Daniel Castro Garcia. Foreigner gives a personal identity to the people caught up in the 2015 – 2016 ‘European migrant crisis’ – the largest migrant movement since World War II. The striking portraits offer the viewer an emotional connection to the subjects, rather than the degrading imagery often used by mass media. JOURNEYSFESTIVAL.COM

Journeys Festival International takes over the wonderful spaces on New Walk for a weekend that celebrates the artistic talents from the local and international refugee and asylum seeker community through eclectic entertainment.
