The images used in the stamp designs represent countries that have the highest number of refugees in the UK including Iran, Syria, Afghanistan and Sudan. Here’s how you can help refugees
Help change the way we see refugees, and ourselves For Refugee Week 2019 (15th-23rd June) we’re inviting you to do one of our seven Simple Acts, inspired by the theme ‘You, me or those who came before’. Simple Acts are everyday actions we can all do to stand with refugees and make new connections in our communities. Whether you plan an event around a Simple Act or simply do one during the week itself, you’ll be joining a big national movement celebrating the ways refugees have enriched our culture and communities, for generations. Find out more at refugeeweek.org.uk

What next?
Get help as a refugee If you are a refugee, asylum seeker or vulnerable migrant, the British Red Cross may be able to help you. We offer help with the urgent needs of refugees, asylum seekers and other vulnerable migrants. The help we can offer will depend on where you are. It can include: food bank referrals and emergency vouchers, baby items and travel tickets.
Leicester City of Sanctuary is a charity running a wide range of projects supporting refugees and asylum seekers, including ESOL classes and a Drop-In Centre. They rely on a growing team of volunteers to deliver and maintain the provision of these services. LCoS welcome all asylum seekers and refugees, regardless of status, nationality, religion or ethnic group to all of our activities.
British Red Cross can offer further help for reunited families. We can help with housing, benefits and career advice, health care – registering with a GP or dentist, registering children with schools, adjusting to life in the UK, getting to know your local area. We also offer an International Family Tracing Service.
