It has been a strange year, tragic for many, merely challenging for us. We had to close our gallery and offices for four months starting in mid March, reopened them again in early July, and may have to close again any day as I write this. Just before we closed in March, we had held our biggest Midwinter’s Drawing Rally ever at the end of February in Asbury Hall, two weeks later Asbury Hall went dark when we did, and we had to make our Midsummer Night’s Drawing Rally in July virtual. And you know what? It worked! Thanks to the creativity and generosity of the participating artists and the ingenuity and hard work of our staff (whom we have been able to keep continuously employed for most of a year now) and Board of Directors, our first ever virtual Drawing Rally was a huge success, not quite as big as February’s live one, but as successful or more so than the majority of live ones we’ve done since 2012. We also postponed our May 28th Annual Hallwalls Auction (AHA!), optimistically thinking we’d be able to do it live in Asbury Hall on December 3rd. No such luck, and here we are, with our first virtual on-line AHA! Encouraged by our success with the July Drawing Rally, and incorporating all kinds of new ideas and technologies cooked up by our crackerjack staff and hands-on Special Events Committee, we think we have another user-friendly, engaging, and fun auction for 2020. I want to thank our staff (especially John, Emily, and Bill for the art, organizing, and tech); all members of the Special Events Committee (which has met weekly, on Zoom, of course), especially its Co-Chairs Elizabeth Licata and Beth Smith; all the artists from near and far who donated artworks; and, if you are reading this, all of you for participating remotely. I hope you enjoy looking at the art, engaging in the fun, and bidding furiously while imbibing holiday cheer responsibly at home. Thank you all.

Curator John Massier has once again assembled a stellar group of artworks by some of the most interesting artists ever associated with Hallwalls.

It is as exciting an event as we have organized over any of the past five years of this auction. The Special Events committee, after a successful online Drawing Rally in July, has been meeting weekly via Zoom to discuss how we could make a virtual auction easy to negotiate and make sure it truly reflects the spirit of Hallwalls. It is largely due to Emily Tucker, Director of Fundraising, Membership, & Special Events, that AHA! 2020 has that spirit.

Bruce Adams

Bruce Adams is best known as a conceptually based figurative painter who references various painting styles. In exploring the act of painting, Adams peels back the layers of meaning inherent in art making and viewing. He has exhibited extensively regionally and internationally, and his work is included in numerous private, corporate, and museum collections including the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Castellani Museum, UB Anderson Gallery, and Burchfield-Penney Art Center. In 2007 Adams was given an extensive mid-career survey exhibition titled Bruce Adams, Half Life 1980-2006 at the UB Anderson Gallery. In 2016.

Jozef Bajus

Jozef Bajus is an award winning mixed media artist. Originally, from Slovakia, Bajus received his MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, (AFAD), Bratislava, Slovakia (1985). During 1990 - 2001 he was Head of Fibers Program at AFAD and since 1990 he has held positions of visiting scholar, instructor, and coordinator at various colleges and programs in the United States and abroad Currently, Bajus is an Associate Professor at SUNY Buffalo State College, Buffalo, New York and serves as the Coordinator of the Fibers/Design Program.

His career has earned him numerous prestigious awards and recognition. Recently he has been the recipient of the Langley H. Kenzie Award, BPAC, Buffalo. Bajus’ work has exhibited in numerous one - person, and group exhibitions, nationally and internationally, and is in the collection of many museums, art galleries. His artwork is also included in private collections in Europe, North America, Japan, and China.

KATIE BELL is an artist originally from Rockford, Illinois (b. 1985). She received her BA from Knox College (Galesburg, IL) in 2008 where she studied fine art and race and gender studies. She graduated in 2011 from the Rhode Island School of Design (Providence, RI) with an MFA in Painting. Bell has shown her work at a variety of venues, Smack Mellon (Brooklyn, NY), Locust Projects (Miami, FL), Okay Mountain Gallery (Austin), and the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum (Lincoln, MA). Her work has been written about in BOMB Magazine, Whitewall, Hyperallergic, Artnet, The Chicago Tribune, and Paper Magazine. In 2011 she was an artist in residence at the Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation’s Space Program based in Brooklyn, NY. Wayne Edson Bryan

Wayne Edson Bryan was born in Mineola, New York. In 1996, Bryan was featured in a solo show at Hallwalls, and in 2002, his work was featured in a group show, Invisible Archives 1: All That You Can (And Did) Leave Behind. He has many other solo shows, including those at Gallery K in Washington, DC, the Corcoran Gallery, and Brody’s Gallery, also in Washington. Group shows include those at the Danville Museum of Fine Arts & History in Virginia, the International Museum of Modest Arts in France, and at the American University Museum, Katzen Arts Center, in Washington, DC. Bryan has received many awards, including a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant, and a Mid-Atlantic/NEA Painting Fellowship. His work is held in the permanent collections of such organizations as the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, National Institute of Health, Washington DC’s City Hall Art Collection, and many others.

Kyle Butler

Kyle Butler is an artist from Michigan currently living in Buffalo. Butler’s work has been included in exhibitions at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, the Burchfield Penney Art Center, Buffalo Arts Studio, Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center, Nina Freudenheim Gallery, Exhibit A (Corning, NY), and Lost Coast Culture Machine (Fort Bragg, CA). In 2014, Butler was commissioned to execute a large performance piece for Scotiabank Nuit Blanche in Toronto, curated by Heather Pesanti of The Contemporary Austin. He has also been featured in New American Paintings (2010), and is in collections including the Albright-Knox Art Gallery and the Burchfield Penney Art Center. Butler co-curated the Amid/In WNY exhibition series at Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center (2015/16) and currently curates at Starlight Studio and Art Gallery, an art center that facilitates adults with learning disabilities in realizing creative projects. Charles Clough

Charles Clough was born in Buffalo, New York in 1951. He attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, Ontario College of Art in Toronto, University at Buffalo and New York University and has taught at Columbia University and the Rhode Island School of Design.

He established his art studio in 1971 and has presented his work in more than 70 solo, and, more than 150 group, exhibitions. He has received grants and fellowships from the New York State Council on the Arts, National Endowment for the Arts, Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation and the Pollock-Krasner Foundation.

His works are included in the collections of more than 70 museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, National Gallery of Art and Smithsonian American Art Museum. In 1974 Clough founded Hallwalls Contemporary Art Center, with Robert Longo, Cindy Sherman, Michael Zwack, Nancy Dwyer, Diane Bertolo and others in Buffalo.

Kevin Ei-ichi DeForest is a visual and multimedia artist. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Japanese and Swiss parents. He studied architecture (Bachelor of Environmental Studies, 1983) and fine art (BFA, 1986) at the University of Manitoba before getting an MFA from Concordia University in 1994. He was also a Mombusho (Japan Ministry of Education) scholarship recipient, studying at Kyoto Seika University between 1997 and 1998. Deforest has exhibited nationally and internationally in the United States and Europe. She taught both studio and history courses in photography at Hunter, Marymount Manhattan College, Colgate University, and UB. She retired from the latter institution as a professor of photography in 2006.

Faller had an impressive career of exhibitions across the United States and fellowships from the New York Foundation for the Arts, CEPA Gallery (Center for Electronic and Photographic Arts), and Light Work. Her photographs are in many public collections including the George Eastman House International Museum of Photography, Walker Art Center, Visual Studies Workshop, Light Work, Fenimore Art Museum, Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University, Buffalo Seminary, and Addison Gallery of American Art. Working together since 1979, FASTWÜRMS is well known for their joint authorship, collaborative and multidisciplinary practice. Social exchange and ‘pratiques relationnelles’ best describe the critical focus of their artwork. FASTWÜRMS has taught at the Ontario College of Art and Design and the Toronto School of Art. The artists and many collaborators have exhibited and created public art commissions, performance and interdisciplinary projects across Canada, Europe, Japan, and the United States. Permanent public art commissions include the integrated sculptures of “Turtle Pond” at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and “Ex Ovo Omnia” at the Macdonald Stewart Art Centre.

Chambliss Giobbi utilizes the nature of time and simultaneity as a central theme in his fractured, stop-frame collaged images as well as his mutated sculptural Mobius Strips that perpetually return to their origin. Shea Hembrey

American conceptual artist Shea Hembrey is from Hickory Grove, Arkansas. Hembrey received national attention in 2011 with the release of “SEEK”, a biennial of art showcasing the work of 100 artists—all of whom he invented and created the artwork for himself. Hembrey presented this project as a TED speaker in 2011. Shea Hembrey’s work explores our best current understanding of the structure of reality while putting himself in the role of playing trickster. Currently, that exploration questions our contemporary view of the universe as revealed through physics. He approaches art by concentrating on a singular, defined conceptual project where the ideas direct what methods and media he uses.

Research is key to all of his creative endeavors while he remains a prolific maker of things. Though always focused on developing new technical skills on his own, he has a varied formal art education. Hlady’s kinetic sculptures and sound pieces often consist of common objects (such as teapots, cocktail mixers, jars) that are expanded and animated to reveal unexpected sonic and poetic properties often using a system-based approach to composition. She’s shown widely in solo and group shows. She has mounted site works in such places as the fjords of Norway, a grain silo as part of the sound festival Electric Eclectic, an apartment window in Berlin, a tour bus in Ottawa, the Hudson’s Bay department store display window and an empty shell of a building. Richard Huntington

Richard Huntington is a painter and writer, and Critic Emeritus at The Buffalo News.

His recent solo exhibitions include RE-MIXico (2014) at Casa de Arte, Buffalo, and Cottage Industry (2013), a series of works that parody the paintings of Thomas Kinkade, at Indigo Art, Buffalo. In 2010 his paintings were included in the international biennial Beyond/In WNY: Alternating Currents, organized by the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. A major survey of the artist’s work, Thus I Passe By: Selections from 19702008, was presented by the Castellani Art Museum (2009).

Internationally, Huntington’s work has been shown at Carey Berkus, an art space in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico (2008 and 2009); and at the JR Konstallen in Linkoping, Sweden, with Richard Huntington: Halo By Mondrian: (2007).

Among other essays, Huntington is the author of “Jackie Felix: Stories Only Half-told” for the Felix retrospective exhibition held at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, Buffalo, NY (2012); and “Falling Beams, Exploding Heads: A Look Back at Artpark” for Artpark: 1974-1984, an exhibition in the University at Buffalo Art Galleries (2010).

David Kramer

A child of the 1970s, David Kramer pulls from that formative decade, re-crafting its lifestyle advertisements and distinctive interior design into paintings, drawings, and installations both nostalgic and ironic. His compositions resemble the advertisements that, as he claims (with the tongue-in-cheek humor that shapes his output), modeled his future: “I felt certain that my future would look a lot like what I was looking at in those ads. […] I am still hoping to grow up and get my hands on those things.” Text is central to Kramer’s work. He overlays what he calls “one-liners” onto his images, revealing the falsity of the idealized vision they present and the disillusionment of adulthood. From approximately 1977 to 1983 he was affiliated with Hallwalls and CEPA galleries in Buffalo, where he coordinated various exhibition, performance, and visiting artist programs, and was a founding member of their quasi-official post-punk-art-surf-garage house band The Vores. During that time he exhibited regularly — mostly photography, but also sculpture, installation, music, and performance art — while the band was keeping up an active schedule of local gigs, and making frequent trips to New York City to play at legendary venues like CBGB and Max’s Kansas City.

He has taught photography as a graduate student at SUNY Buffalo, an Assistant Professor of Art at Daemen College in Amherst NY, and an instructor for a children’s summer photo workshop through CEPA in Buffalo.

Some notable places he has exhibited include the Albright Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo NY, Cranbrook Academy of Art in Cranbrook MI, Artists Space and The New Museum in NYC, Washington Project for the Arts in Washington DC, A Space in Toronto Canada, and the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester MA. Associated with the Pictures Generation, Thomas Lawson (b. 1951, Glasgow) is invested in the politics of painting. His painterly experiments disrupting image, perception, palette, temporality calls meaning into question. Robert Longo (b. 1953) is an internationally recognized visual artist known for his large-scale works in various media: drawing, sculpture, film, performance and music. He has exhibited extensively at museums through Europe, Asia and the United States, including such venues as the Venice Biennale, Documenta, and the Whitney Biennial. His work is represented in numerous major museum and private collections all over the world, including The Museum of Modern Art, NYC; The Whitney Museum of American Art, NYC; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris; the Albertina, Vienna; and the Tate, London. Charles Clough was born in Buffalo, New York in 1951. He attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, Ontario College of Art in Toronto, University at Buffalo and New York University and has taught at Columbia University and the Rhode Island School of Design.

He established his art studio in 1971 and has presented his work in more than 70 solo, and, more than 150 group, exhibitions. He has received grants and fellowships from the New York State Council on the Arts, National Endowment for the Arts, Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation and the Pollock-Krasner Foundation.

His works are included in the collections of more than 70 museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, National Gallery of Art and Smithsonian American Art Museum. In 1974 Clough founded Hallwalls Contemporary Art Center, with Robert Longo, Cindy Sherman, Michael Zwack, Nancy Dwyer, Diane Bertolo and others in Buffalo.

John Maggiotto

John Maggiotto is a photographer who lives and works in Hastings on Hudson, New York where he is a member of Upstream Gallery. His recent shows have featured local environmental concerns, such as the Saw Mill and Hudson Rivers, Hillside Woods and migrating birds. The Escaping Birds series is a set of photographs that capture birds just as they arrive or depart from Maggiotto’s hanging feeder. Maggiotto is one of seven children born to Louis and Catherine in Buffalo, New York. Jennifer McMackon was born in Canada. She holds an MFA from the University of Victoria, British Columbia, and a BA from the University of Toronto. Arnold Mesches

Arnold Mesches was born in 1923 in the Bronx, New York and was raised in Buffalo, New York. Mesches moved to Los Angeles in 1943 on a scholarship at the Art Center School. In 1945, the FBI opened a file on him targeting him as a subversive communist. He was inspired to create works during the Republican Senator Joseph McCarthy era of the 1950’s. He created many series of “provocative, layered collages composed from his personal FBI file plus news clippings, 1950’s magazine cutouts, personal photographs, and hand written scripts.”[3] Mesches has explored contemporary social and historical issues, informed by world history and his life during the Depression, which also reflect his art. In 1970 he married, Jill Ciment, his seventeen year old student, who was thirty years his junior. Ciment went to become an accomplished novelist and memoirist. They remained happily married until his death. In 1984, he moved to New York City and taught at New York University. He also taught at Parsons College and Rutgers University. He eventually ended up teaching at University of Florida in Gainesville. He has had over 125 solo exhibitions and is represented in places such as the Metropolitan Museum of Arts, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Museum of Modern Art in Sydney, Australia, among others. Kevin Noble

Kevin Noble was born in Brooklyn in 1952. He moved to Buffalo, NY to attend Buffalo State College in 1973. His first exhibition was at CEPA Gallery. As an active member of Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center from 1975 to 1980 he had a number of exhibitions there as well as organizing projects and curating exhibitions of other artists work. He was also active with CEPA Gallery and served as Director of CEPA in 1977. He has had exhibitions at Hallwalls, CEPA, Artists’ Space, NYC, The Kitchen, NYC and the West Belfast Festival, Belfast, Ireland. He is a founding member of the Culture & Conflict Group which organizes projects exploring the role of culture in conflict situations.

Milton Rogovin

Milton Rogovin was born in New York City in 1909. He graduated from Columbia University with a degree in optometry and a deep concern for workers’ rights. In 1938 he moved to Buffalo where he established his own optometric practice. Four years later he married Anne Snetsky who, when not mothering their three children and working as a teacher, became Milton’s full time collaborator and assistant.

In 1952, because of his interest in workers’ rights and activity in what could be defined as pre-Stalinist communism, Rogovin was called before the House Un-American Activities. The Buffalo Evening News immediately labeled him “Buffalo’s Top Red” and the persecution that followed significantly impacted his business and his family. Rogovin later stated that though his voice had been silenced, he would not be silenced. And so in 1958, Rogovin began making photographs that communicated his social concern. His first series was on Buffalo’s black storefront churches and these images showed both the poverty and the vitality of their environment. Seen by W.E.B. Dubois, the pictures made their way to Minor White and were eventually published in Aperture Magazine in 1962.

In 1972, at the age of 63, Rogovin began to photograph Buffalo’s Lower West Side. Turning up on streets ranging from blue collar family neighborhoods to places where it was dangerous to ask too many questions (the reason many of the pictures are un-named). Rogovin photographed indoors and outdoors, individuals and family groups, as he sought to convey the truth of the lives of his subjects and their environment.

Returning to this neighborhood for three decades, Rogovin created triptychs and quartets by photographing the same individuals or families with each visit. The result is a collection of photographs which provide an extraordinary look at the passage of time as well as tremendous insight into the lives of diverse ethnic groups including Puerto Rican, African American, Native American, and Italian families over the course of thirty years. Rogovin completed the Lower West Side series at the age of 92.

Rogovin’s photographs are now in the permanent collections of over two dozen prominent museums around the world, including the Biblotheque Nationale in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, the Center For Creative Photography at the University of Arizona-Tucson and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

In 1999, the Library of Congress acquired 1,130 of Rogovin’s master prints, along with his negatives and contact sheets. The irony was not lost on Rogovin that the government that persecuted him in the 1950’s now celebrated his work as a champion of the poor and working class half a century later. www.miltonrogovin.com

Aura Rosenberg’s work probes sexuality, gender, childhood, artistic identity and historical construction.

Her diverse practice draws on photography, video, painting, sculpture, installation and performance.

She has published three books of photographs. Head Shots, (StopOver Press 1996) is a series of black/white portraits that examines men seemingly caught in a moment of ecstasy. Berlin Childhood (Steidl/DAAD 2001) is inspired by Walter Benjamin’s chronicle of a bourgeois upbringing in Berlin at the turn of the last century; it reconsiders the people and places Benjamin wrote about from a present-day perspective. Who Am I? What Am I? Where Am I ? (Hatje Cantz 2006) features a series of children’s portraits, each made in collaboration with another artist.

Rosenberg’s work has been shown at the Kiev Biennale; The Berlin Biennale; Museum der Moderne, Salzburg; Lehnbachhaus, Munich; Centre D’art Contemporain, Grenoble; MoMA PS1, Long Island City; The Swiss Institute, New York; The Sculpture Center, Long Island City; JOAN, Los Angeles and Galeria Studio, Warsaw. Her series Head Shots was featured in an exhibition at Kunstmuseum Stuttgart that traveled to the Paul Klee Zentrum in Bern, Switzerland.

Sarah Sutton

Sarah Sutton is a painter based in the Ithaca, NY area who is interested in visual perception, biology and speculative futures.She was born in the Appalachian coal mining region of Northeastern Pennsylvania and lived there for the first 11 years of her life. The town that she grew up in rests over flooded anthracite coal mines. She then moved to a suburb of Cleveland, 10 miles from one of the biggest power plants in the world. The cooling towers overtook the landscape. Both places had a lurkingenvironmental threat, yet life marched forward. These early visual landscapes had an impact on her paintings and ideas. In her paintings, the human realm is organized like rhizomatic mycelium, connecting things that aren’t supposed to go together to focus on symbiotic relationships that span time, species and place.

Her work has been shown in Europe and across the United States.She attended the Millay Colony artist residency, Santa Fe Art Institute residency funded by the Joan Mitchell Foundation, and has an upcoming residency at Yaddo. www.sarahsutton.net

Kurt Von Voetsch is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, in Pittsburgh. Ohio University, in Athens, Ohio, and State University College at Buffalo. Kurt has shown in group, and solo shows since 1987.Local Galleries, and Museums including The Albright Knox Art Gallery, Hall walls, University at Buffalo, Anderson Gallery. Big Orbit, Castellani Art Gallery, Burchfield Penney Art Museum. A-Space in Cleveland ,Rochester Contemporary Art Museum, Rochester Memorial, Youngstown University, Chautauqua Institution. Since Kurt has been in a battle of personal cancer his artwork has been a method of purging fear. Death isn’t the end, it’s a new beginning.

We would be pleased to offer an artwork by Kurt Von Voetsch in the annual auction any year, but, this year, the inclusion is especially meaningful. As many know, Kurt passed away on October 14 after a long, valiant struggle with brain cancer. I won’t see Kurt again in person, but, like others in Western New York, I have vivid memories of Kurt that will be with me for a long time. We worked together at the Castellani Art Museum from the time he arrived at the museum in 1996 and I left in 1999. I was also aware of his installations at Big Orbit Gallery, the University at Buffalo, and many other projects/exhibitions. Three years of working with someone may not seem like much, but Kurt made almost everything he did a startling experience. His rolling pagoda of installation equipment was remarkable. The black monolith he made to enclose a modest iMac programmed for interpretation was extraordinary. The glassed-in shelving he created to hold ephemera for our Creeley exhibition was elegant and meticulous. Nothing Kurt made or did in his professional life was ordinary. I’d only add that he was kind, thoughtful, and fun to be around, even when he was reading aloud in the break room from the thankfully defunct Weekly World News. Thanks, Kurt; I’m so glad I knew you.

William Wegman

William Wegman was born in 1943 in Holyoke, Massachusetts. He received a B.F.A. in painting from the Massachusetts College of Art, Boston in 1965 and an M.F.A. in painting from the University of Illinois, Champagne-Urbana in 1967. By the early 70s, Wegman’s work was being exhibited in museums and galleries internationally. In addition to solo shows with Sonnabend Gallery in Paris and New York, Situation Gallery in London and Konrad Fisher Gallery in Dusseldorf, his work was included in such seminal exhibitions as “When Attitudes Become Form,” and “Documenta V” and regularly featured in Interfunktionen, Artforum and Avalanche magazines.

It was while he was in Long Beach that Wegman got his dog, a Weimaraner who he named Man Ray, and began a long and fruitful collaboration. Man Ray, known in the art world and beyond for his endearing deadpan presence, became a central figure in Wegman’s photographs and videotapes. When Man Ray died in 1982 he was named “Man of the Year” by the Village Voice. It was not until 1986 that Wegman got a new dog, Fay Ray, and another collaboration began marked by Wegman’s extensive use of the Polaroid 20 x 24 camera. With the birth of Fay’s litter in 1989, Wegman’s cast of grew to include Fay’s offspring — Battina, Crooky and Chundo — and later, their offspring: Battina’s son Chip in 1995, Chip’s son Bobbin in 1999 and Candy and Bobbin’s daughter Penny in 2004. Out of Wegman’s involvement with this cast of characters grew a series of childrens’ books inspired by the dogs’ various acting abilities: Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, ABC, Mother Goose, Farm Days, My Town, Surprise Party and Chip Wants a Dog. Wegman has also published a number of books for adults including Man’s Best Friend, Fashion Photographs, William Wegman 20 x 24, The New York Times Bestseller Puppies, Fay, William Wegman: Paintings and the upcoming Being Human, edited by William Ewing and published by Thames and Hudson fall 2017.

Wegman has created film and video works for Saturday Night Live and Nickelodeon and his video segments for Sesame Street have appeared regularly since 1989. In 1995, Wegman’s film The Hardly Boys was screened at the Sundance Film Festival. Wegman has been commissioned to create images for a wide range of projects including a fashion campaign for Acne, banners for the Metropolitan Opera and covers for numerous publications including The New Yorker and, most recently, Wallpaper. Wegman has appeared on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and with Jay Leno, The David Letterman Show and The Colbert Report.

Numerous retrospectives of Wegman’s work have toured Europe, Asia and the United States including at the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, the Kunstmuseum, Lucerne, the Centre Pompidou, Paris, The Whitney Museum of American Art, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Wexner Center for the Arts, Columbus, and Artipelag in Stockholm, Sweden. Being Human, a large scale survey of over thirty years of Wegman’s photographic work was published in fall 2017 (Chronicle/Thames and Hudson).
