“I just sat and sewed”
Create opportunities for people to meet and work together and they will make connections and build communities.
Some will define themselves as artists, others will say “I just sat and sewed.”
Definitions are important, but how we are ‘defined’ is not necessarily who we are. Ultimately, the relationships we establish are what nurture, support and contribute to who we are.
This exhibition is a joyful expression of what can be achieved through those relationships.
lifeblood (noun): The thing that is most important to the continuing success and existence of something else.
This publication contains artworks from Artlink's Leylines project, community workshops with artists working in various mediums. The exhibition was at the Howden Park Centre, Livingston Winter 2023-24.
