Hi, my name is Steve Burton and I’m a self-taught contemporary Artist based in Hampshire, England.

I sketched all sorts of things growing up and I enjoyed Art at school however it wasn’t until many years later - the covid pandemic, when I picked up a pencil again. Sky Arts Artist of the Year and Grayson Perry’s Art Club were also a huge inspiration that formed the start of my painting journey.

In the three years since starting, I’ve exhibited at the Holy Art Gallery in London and joined my local art club which has introduced me to fellow Artists & given me the opportunity to get involved in local exhibitions.

I’ve always had an intense curiosity, love of nature and a keen eye for detail so painting allows me to indulge in all of those traits and I believe it provides a unique sense of place and atmosphere to the landscapes I create.

Before starting this Four Seasons collection, I decided that each location would be somewhere I’d never visited so I could research and visit online to get a sense of the place and immerse myself in the surroundings.

Autumn Leaves - The morning sun bursting through golden Maple trees in Canada. Winter Switzerland - A blanket of snow covering the village of Grindelwald in Switzerland’s Burnese Alps with the view of the Mettenburg mountain in the background. Spring in Bloom - An abundance of colour and foliage at the Keukenhof Gardens in Holland. Summer at Durdle Door - A glorious summer day view of one of the most photographed locations in Dorset.
